  1. And us Mustang Mach-E owners are left out in the cold. Like it or not, I still call it my Mustang. Well, not mine since it's my wife's. She does let me drive it to church on the weekends though...
  2. I got pulled over for speeding (45 in a 35 or something like that) on the main drag in the nearby city when out on a date. The cop came up and said "Oh, looks like you're on a date. You lost some cool points tonight, huh?" My girlfriend chuckled a little, and when he walked back to his car, said she thought it was pretty funny. I got off with a warning. We've been married for over 25 years now (the girl and I, not the cop and I). The only other time I got pulled over, I was doing 64 in a 50 (the speed just dropped and I didn't notice it). The cops (yes, both of them) came up and harassed me about my license being expired, even though they were good for another 6 months. I was in my early 20's, and they could tell I was nervous and they were laughing at my expense. Another warning, so I was able to keep my clean driving record.
  3. I get flashed a lot in my Super Duty, but I expect it since it's so tall and has big, bright, LEDs. I figured the cop was having a bad day. I asked my nephew, who is a highway patrolman, if he would give a ticket for that. He said, well, I'd probably pull you over to let you know, but would only give you a ticket if you're being a jerk about it.
  4. Maybe I'm missing something here, and if so, clue me in. But, if the cars are already sold by invitation only, why does the dealer deserver more than 5% of the cost of this thing for the privilege of selling it? I'm sure the customer gets to pick the dealer they want to deliver it, correct? I mean, how much work does the dealer put in? Something like this, I would imagine the PDI is minimal since it's likely already done. What does the dealer do to "earn" that $15k and why do they deserve more?
  5. My daughter flashed her lights at someone a couple weeks ago because she said it looked like their lights were on bright and she couldn't see. Turns out it was a cop. Cost her $150. Apparently, the cop was an ass about it too. Expensive lesson for a college kid.
  6. No, they are showing percentages. If a company produced 1 vehicle and it was still on the road, that would be 100%, and it would be in the lead (I'm sure there is a minimum number produced to be in this list, though). It's not about sheer number of vehicles produced, it's about the % produced that is still out there. Percentage is the key word.
  7. Ugh, doesn't the government have better things to do? Why do we always have to have somebody to "blame?" Sheesh! BTW, not directing that at you, you're just the messenger.
  8. That's not to "blame" the carriers, that's Apple earning the market share through their support.
  9. I loved the BB I had before the Windows phone (the physical buttons made it the best for sending texts/emails). Except that time the Sheriff showed up at my door after I somehow inadvertently (and unbeknownst to me) called 911 from the phone in my pocket while I was weed eating. The lock function didn't work very well...
  10. Agreed! I loved my Windows phone, and was sad when I had to replace it with an iPhone (it was a work-supplied phone, and my only phone). I'm sure @akirby is shocked by this revelation...
  11. Thanks! Definitely...life is so much less stressful (so far), and I am really enjoying what I'm doing. It helps to have a contract and be 110% billable for the next 12-15 months. Thank you! Shameless plug...if you need any software development in the future, hit me up!
  12. Of course they did...I bought a 23 back in late October! However, the price I paid is pretty comparable to today's prices. I had a decent rebate (11k) + the $3750 tax rebate + $2500 incentive from my employer for buying an electric vehicle (it's an electric company). Since I no longer work for that employer (I quit to run my own business a week ago), I wouldn't qualify for the $2500 and the tax rebate is now gone, so I feel OK.
  13. I believe these increases are just over the LOWERED '23 prices, not the original '23 prices. Equipment differences exist between '23 and '24 models as well. For instance, the GT now comes standard with the magnetic shocks, which you had to get the GTPE to get in '23 (a $5k option). So, a $70k GT in '23 is now $54k. At least, that's the way I'm reading it.
  14. We loved ours! Ours was one of the first, an '09 model. We drove it for 127k miles before downsizing to an Escape as our kids got older and we didn't need the 3rd row anymore. It was ahead of its time with the luxury-like interior.
