UAW-Vote Democrat 2020?

Recommended Posts

Should the International and Local Unions continue to endorse and push the democratic vote in 2020? Feels like the party has abandoned working class Americans and only support non citizens. How could anyone in an Engine Plant endorse candidates who want to eliminate gas combustion engines. They are also pushing eliminating cars in favor of mass transit. Why would anyone Vote to eliminate our industry? Better grab your popcorn folks, things are going to get ugly.

Every democratic presidential candidate besides Joe Biden are in favor of the Green New Deal. It eliminates gas engines, it promotes electic buses and electic trains for transportation.

But you will get to keep your car on this plan, I promise. Wink, Wink.

Those politicians are Socialists/Communists hiding in Democrat clothing... do not be fooled by their rhetoric...they are to the Democrats what the tea party zealots were to the Republicans 10 years ago...

I don't listen to any of their rhetoric. I prefer making my own opinions instead of blindly following the herd

Be very careful who you vote for (there is only one choice) if you ever want to see this thing of beauty make it to the open road!

Don't allow the UAW sway your vote you'll just be confused, the more and more UAW unionize graduate students the more distance they put between them and the autoworkers they represent. To blame our President solely for the problems in our industry doesn't make sense the problems have been building up since the  turn of the century. If anyone is to blame it's the UAW members for allowing themselves to be misrepresented by a corrupt union plain and simple.  Politics in our country is like chemistry, you need the right combination in all offices. If everyone is mainly focused on the President then we have congress candidates that aren't very good slide in office without anyone noticing because all the attention is on the President. It's not about what party to vote for it should be which individuals will work with others and not spend a 4 year term opposing everything. We need progress, they can oppose all day but if they don't have any form of solution then they are useless in office no matter what party they claim. Time to start being Americans and exercising our right to vote for our selves not allow someone else tell us who we should be voting for. Don't be a puppet.

I prefer to think of it like a pendulum. Sometimes it needs to swing to the left, then sometimes it needs to swing to the right. What you end up with is something somewhere in the middle. Nobody is going to be 100% happy regardless.

That's what we have right now swinging back n forth left to right, we need progress and to move forward. Too much time spent on petty issues not enough on the important. Too much time spent opposing the other and not enough solutions.

That's all it is, keep us fighting this side against that side. In the mean time the same old shit keeps going on from both sides and this country as a whole just keeps getting worse.

Need to vote Democrats in 2020, who in their right mind would vote republican.

Democrat lead House just wasted a whole day of tax payers money voting to condemn a tweet from social media, because of their priorities. Who's in their right mind?

Many Democrats, including presidential candidates Harris, Sanders and Gillenbrand, support legislation to cut combustion engine production in half by 2030 and to eliminate it all together by 2040. .

Just remember as the Tesla style all electric vehicles replace the traditional ones, there will be no need for Engine and Transmission plants.

All those plants will have to close. Those vehicles will use electric motors that we purchase from suppliers.

Chassisgroupleade, I haven’t seen or heard a Democratic candidate  running for office. I have heard and seen socialist and communist candidates running.

I read your comment that you would be happy with just a nice signing bonus for this contract. All I can say, is thank God we had real and committed members years ago who thought about doing what is best for the future not just for today. Thank you retirees who weren’t selfish and only thought about today.

I was told when I first started with Ford that if you do not have at least one million dollars in assets by the time you get your 30 years in, you have squandered your money. That was before all the signing bonuses and extravagant profit sharing bonuses. All those signing bonus and profit sharing checks are nice, but what would the members have today if they would have gotten a 3% raise and Life Income Benefits increases every three years?

Look trying to stop electric cars is bad for the whole world. The Union needs to do all it can to protect and get workers displaced new jobs and really good separation packages. My guess is coal miners who much rather be doing something else besides dying in coal mines or black lung. The green energy sector is the future. Solar ,wind, biofuels etc are limitless and clean. The only reason mass transit is appealing is because they are not paying Americans shit and they cannot afford cars or houses they are too busy going to college and getting in debt for a shit pay job when they graduate! as far as Dems I agree. I support progressives like Bernie, warren and Gabbard. I have worked like a good peasant for over 40 years and yet the rich and corporations never stop taking from working people so I say FUCKEM. I have had my fill of this shit kissing their asses. Bring on the strikes and not just UAW ALL working people. Let the rich pricks fix their own cars, grow their own food and empty their trash!!!!!

The rich and powerful are the biggest Socialists and welfare takers the United States has ever seen. I mean really they bail out the banks and wallstreet??? The very same assholes who stole all the money? And you are complaining about AOC? One of the only politicians I have seen to have enough guts to question lobbying and pharma execs on how they are gouging Americans with drugs that taxpayers paid to develop? Sounds a lot like Socialism to me. Why is it when the little people try to collect things they have paid for their entire working lives like social security are labeled an "entitlement" when its time to collect. Newsflash I am ENTITLED to it I paid for it! What we have in America is Socialism for the rich and free market brutality for the working class.

I am ready to try "far left" .The far right is killing our nation and bankrupting the working class with their "Socialism" for the rich and never ending wars that kill our citizens, other nations citizens, make the defense companies rich and make the already rich and powerful more rich and powerful. Yes I am ready for that dirty old "Socialism" like the Nordic nations have. We have tried the good old American capitalism way long enough It is time for working people to benefit for once. And guess what if all the rich pricks disappeared  the world would still go on believe it or not without yachts, mansions and private sex parties. The corporate owned news media's keep spewing the same old bullshit how everyone wants to be rich. Really the vast majority of people just want a decent living with enough left for a nice vacation, college for their kids and a decent place to live. What idiot thinks there are enough resources to build everyone a private skyscraper with a yacht and a helicopter???

I never said it was perfect. As long as you have selfish, rich people running things anyone who isn't rich is going to get fucked.
