MWolf85
So....I have a thing about the lack of locking storage in modern vehicles (I know a lot of nosey people and I generally like to keep people out of things they have no business being in). The glove box has no way to put a lock on it without looking rediculous since no one makes a lock for it that can replace the original latch. But that compartment in the floor in the back seat seems like it could be secured. Has anyone done it? Is there anything aftermarket? Are there any little custom-fit lockboxes or safes like for the center console? In the searching I've done briefly today, I didn't see anything. But I can't be the only one to look at that and think it'd be a great spot for a good, old fashioned lock, dammit! MikeHTally
My daughter's '14 Escape has this, my '19 Escape Titanium does not. It does seem to be a well-located stash. Better for a weapon than an non-lockable glove box.
Paradise
Never use it in 7 years. But under my Weatherguard winter mat, pretty sure nobody would find it. ?
