Ford, Nissan, Ram get good ratings in Passenger side small overlap test.

Know a lot of people don't care about IIHS crash tests but the F-150 received a good rating on the Small overlap Passenger side test. What is amazing is that the new GM's Twins only got marginal ratings. Cost Cutting is in full and dangerous effect at GM currently.

I still don't like the Headlight ratings, as poor rated headlights actually might be good but just have high glare.  That's different than not being able to see.

I have yet to find any headlights in any vehicle I’ve driven to be inadequate or unsafe.  Some are better than others but as long as they’re properly aimed and both working I don’t have an issue.

Proper aim is a large part of the issue. Many new vehicles' headlamps aren't aimed properly at the factory or PDI process at dealerships. Here is what IIHS said.

"Headlights are tested as received from the dealer. Although many headlight problems could be resolved by adjusting the aim of the lamps, IIHS doesn't change headlight aim. Few vehicle owners adjust the vertical aim of their headlights, so leaving the aim the way it was set at the factory makes the testing more realistic."
