Ford truck guy
Hello all, When ordering a 2019 F-350, 4x4, SRW, 176" WB Diesel, there are 2 packages, 10,000/9900 GVWR... OR 11,400# GVWR... IF I do not pick with of those, what is the GVWR on the vehicle? I am looking for the max payload on that trim level available...
fordmantpw
I'm pretty sure the standard on the F350 SRW is 11,500.
campingnut
Yes standard is 11500, I believe the other GVWR is for different licensing in some of the states
Ford truck guy
thanks for the info... Does anyone happen to know available payload on such a vehicle? .
campingnut
All depends on the options ordered as an example a limited will have less payload than and xlt. A 4x4 will have less than a 4x2, and so on I can check my door sticker if you like for a platinum if you like
Ford truck guy
Thank you campingnut.... I am borderline between SRW and DRW and will be ordering a new 350.. Really don't want a DRW if I don't need one... My concern is with the payload for a fifth wheel... it' snot really about what I can tow like most sales guys tell you, it's about what I can safely carry,.. Want to order a F-350 in Platinum, long bed probably;y... 4x4 either SRW or DRW

Want to order a F-350 in Platinum, long bed probably;y... 4x4 either SRW or DRW I can tell you based on my 2015 F350 SRW 6.7 Platinum which will be similar in weight. I have a 40 foot 5th wheel which is supposed to be 11,200 dry and about 2,200 pin weight. My 5th wheel slider is about 260lbs in the bed. These weights were fully loaded with me, my wife and 2 kids with a full tank of fuel. Unloaded - Front 5,160lbs and Rear 4,040lbs. Loaded - Front 5,180lbs and Rear 6,540lbs. Trailer 10,180lbs Gross 21,900lbs. In total I had about 220lbs too much on the rear of the truck (GVWR of 11,500 but truck was 11,720) which would easily be fixed by moving some of the stuff in the front bedroom to the rear. I was not worried about 200lbs of GVWR being under both axle ratings. So my 11,200lb trailer actually weighed 12,680lbs or 1,480lbs above the dry weight. My pin weight that is rated at 2,200lbs dry was 2,500lbs or 300lbs more weight on the front end. So you can see the trailer put an additional 2,500lbs on the rear axle when hooked up which equates to a 19.7% pin weight to total trailer weight. Hopefully this will help you in your decision. The sticker on my loaded 2015 F-350 shows 3380# capacity.. I was dun founded by the drop in capacity....
