2020 Chevrolet trax teased

Chevy has two new subcompact utilities arriving this year and I'm not exactly sure which is going to be which.

Anyway here is the smaller/cheaper Chevy which is what that rendering is depicting.  And no, it's not the GMC Granite which doesn't exist.

Here is the larger more robust utility which was being reported as the Trax, but may more appropriately be called the Trailblazer considering it's boxy SUV style.

You can see some parallels to Jeep Compass and Renegade there, which is also inspiring Ford's future small utility strategy, although Ford is years away from releasing these products.

Actually the front isn't bad. About what I expect from Chevy in 2019.

Back end however, yeesh. Reminds me of that butt ugly Subaru B9 Tribeca.

Take note the above is for China. They brought back the Tracker name.

Actually that's quite attractive.  Especially at that size / price point.

The rear suffer from the same unfortunate "blank space" that the Cherokee did before the refresh that moved the license plate up from the bumper to the hatch.  But then again, that hatch is actually small enough that a license plate may clutter it up.
