Light trucks are now a record 69 percent of the U.S. market

Recommended Posts

Good article. Thank you silvrsvt sir for sharing it.

Even more interesting than 69% market share for light trucks, 3 automakers accounted for the entire auto industry's U.S. sales growth in 2018. FCA, Tesla, and Subaru.

69% market share for trucks and the company that builds the F150, the ones who claim to be the best in the biz...  couldn't foresee this market shit.

How are we just NOW barely getting the ranger? 😂  Bronco is MIA, the Escape is dying.   Ford really missed the boat! 🚣‍♀️

The market shifted in 2013 to CUV/light trucks dramatically. The Ranger might have been able to come here a little earlier, but no plants to built it and a major disruption to federalize it before the current refresh and previous Ford management didn't help.

Bronco should be at least shown off next Spring

New Escape will be out by the fall of this year.
