Dayshift
Retiredmasrerhelp: Did your check finally arrive. I wish we could get you retirees a raise on your retirement, but we will be lucky to get a raise ourselves.

Retiredmasterhelp
If any active employees put in a resolution to maintain cola for the retiree's that will definitely help all active employees when you go to retire! Cost it out and see if it will fit in the budget before negotiations next year! Every little bit helps when you get to the fixed income of being retired! Remember anything you can get know for yourselves will help yourself in the long rung!

One problem with your thinking though: anyone hired after 2010 doesn't get a pension and therefore COLA is irrelevant to us.

Retiredmasterhelp
You can find that out by requesting a copy of the international contract from your committee person.
Retiredmasterhelp
If you go to uaw.org then scroll down to constitution you should be able to click on it and download the constitution! Every active member should know how to see this and find out what they agree on at the constitutional convention.
