If GM follows their usual playbook, they'll make the new Camaro on a new platform that is aluminum intensive, saving weight.  Then they'll proclaim it was all their idea and no one else is doing it in the "performance car" market.  "See asterisk disclaimer below..."

It will then sell dozens more per a month and GM will hail it a success!  Despite spending another 10 million on development.
