Assimilator
First....WOW! But 2nd...that hatch rear quarter panel is a little much. Either way, doesn't make you miss the Focus anymore. Edited November 28, 2018 by Assimilator
T-dubz
It is a bit strange looking, but at the same time it makes it stance look wider and more aggressive.

mackinaw
Not bad, but odd looking from certain angles. No matter, it's a car, not a CUV, so it's doomed to failure.
twintornados
The hatch looks like a modern retro Gremlin design....love the sedan though...very swanky.
silvrsvt
Wow that C-pillar is awful on the hatchback. The sedan looks good though.
Trailhiker
Very nice design for a small car. Makes the new Corolla look like a Yugo

akirby
It's different, which I guess is a requirement for Mazda to get noticed nowadays, but I'm not a fan of the catfish front end on any of the newer mazdas.

Similar to how they sell Mazda 2/Demio sedan as the Yaris sedan.

I knew I saw the basic C-pillar design somewhere. Modern update of the Gremlin.......funny.
T-dubz
I’m interested in the mpg that this will get. It has the new sky active x engine which functions like a diesel but uses gas.
Assimilator
Besides the striking exterior, the interior is just so far beyond what we see in this segment. Mazda really making a name for itself in design.
.I.
The hatch is wow! The sedan is boring. The hatch is very different in a market with enough compacts to forget ... The sedan is boring, too conservative to be an all new car. The interior is not modern enough... looks dated. The screen is so small!, but the general design is pleasant and looks builded with good materials. But if you miss the old Mazda 3 design, you can buy a brand new Focus hatch! (at least in Europe and China).
