silvrsvt
But when asked by Fox News Autos, a Ford archivist said that a preliminary search turned up nothing official on the model, and the automaker’s product communications manager/pickup truck expert, Mike Levine, had never heard of it either. https://www.foxnews.com/auto/ultra-rare-ford-ranger-shadow-bed-emerges-on-craigslist
7Mary3
Might have been Ford-sanctioned, but it looks really 'aftermarket' to me. And I also think the 302 powered Ranger is an urban myth along with the 'factory' Lincoln Y-block powered '56 F-100. And don't get me started on the 'factory' '74 460/4 speed F-250 Highboy 4X4........

Anthony
there's like a 7-inch gap between the bed and the cab. I can't see how Ford would sanction this (unless that is a short-bed on a long-bed frame...the article mentions something to that fact, but not if the image is that vehicle). Either way, it is ugly. None of the body lines line up and it is really a bad 70's look on an 80's body.

Harley Lover
Didn't the Ranger Splash have a similar bed style?
Assimilator
Flaresides also reduced the bed size quite a bit, they existed entirely for retro appearances.
