bzcat Posted November 10, 2018 Share Posted November 10, 2018 The article mentions ID Buzz will be build in the factory where VW makes Transporter van now. It's starting to make sense now why VW didn't update the T6 on its MQB platform... it is looking for an exit strategy so it can convert to building the electric van. So moving Transporter to the Ford Transit Custom platform seems like a win-win for both company (and how the whole VW-Ford alliance talk got started).
