silvrsvt
Ive been having an intermittent squeaking coming from my drivers side rear wheel. I thought it was the brake caliper hanging up, but I dont think it is that-I pulled the wheel and brakes off this weekend and didnt notice any abnormal wear on them (I did the brakes around 40-50k and the car has about 79k on it now) or excessive brake dust. Nor does it make any odd noises while braking. Best way to describe it is that it can squeak from 15-0 Mph while going slow and can get really bad when its a really warm/muggy day out. Normally starts after the car has been driven 10-15 miles after do I stop and go at lights. This morning I was stuck in stop and go traffic and it did it a lot at first, but once I got to the gate then my parking lot it didnt squeak at all! There is zero squeaking at any speed at all over 20 mph. Ive noticed the wheel does feel warmer (sometimes) then the other side after Im driving, which was leading me in the direction of a hung brake caliper. Its been doing it since May or so. I didnt drive it for a month or so in the middle of the summer since I broke my ankle and my wife or family wa taking me to work.
