Ford considering AWD and all-electric powertrain for the next-gen Mustang

I agree with the sentiment here but Im willing to bet that something similar to this form factor is coming. This CUV coupe hatch type vehicle does not appeal to me at all but it seems to be the trend right now.

Maybe the abandoning of the "Fusion" is so that the CD6 Mustang can share the road with a new 4 door Mustang.

As much as I don't care for the idea, that rendition does look good. Somewhat Charger-esk in the rear side panel. But all Mustang up front.

I LIKE IT. But if this was replacing the Fusion would Ford have said they had no plans for a replacement planned. Could this really be Fields "Whitespace" new "Silhouette" vehicle. Maybe. This as a RWD with even the 3.0 with 400hp might entice me away from a Mustang. But it must be a Fusion, Torino or any name not Mustang.

Heh...if Ford's product planners have a sense of humor, the "4-door Mustang" would use the "Maverick" moniker, as they shared platforms in the early 70s. All that's old is new again!

Hopefully, they'd spare us the Granada and Mustang II flashbacks this time around.

I was thinking the same thing, it would make more sense as a four door mustang off shoot rather then a mini escape
