2018 Edge towing

Still can not order the 2.7L EcoBoost and the trailer tow option ! Bummer !!

 

First time I have seen this table published for the Edge.

It's really not the 2.7 per se - it's the Sport bodywork that doesn't allow for the hitch. And maybe the tires.

 

You can easily add an aftermarket hitch if you don't need to tow more than 2000 lbs. I did a Hidden Hitch on our MKX and it looks good and doesn't interfere with the kick sensor either.

I am betting it is the wheels and tires.

You give up upgraded cooling fans, upgraded radiator and trailer sway control.

Yes but if you’re towing less than 2000 lbs that isn’t a big issue. Some people only use the hitch for a bike rack or luggage carrier.
