mustang84isu
Beautiful. They nailed the rear 3/4 view. Everything about the lines and the details looks well thought-out; I think this is the first Lincoln reveal where I have not found something questionable or compromised in the styling. Overall, I liked the Nautilus quite a bit when it was revealed, but it looks a little dated now if you compare these two side-by-side. Lincoln has done a much better job integrating the side badging sweep. It looks less tacked on than on the Continental and Nautilus, and I like how it angles up to correspond with the mirror. These are the little details that will make the Aviator stand out next to the competition.

To be fair, Nautilus' badge literally was tacked onto the existing MKX body panels.
RadicalX
I really liked what I saw, but I think a black mask on the headlights would make it even better. The interior is magnificent, the rear is the best since the history of Lincoln, , but this front is bothering me a little.
LoveTaurus
Please don't mess-up the headroom in the 3rd row ! I won't be interested if that's designed for under 5 feet passengers.
Torrey61
Not sold on the kink in the headlamps- why?? Otherwise, very well done.
fuzzymoomoo
Please don't mess-up the headroom in the 3rd row ! I won't be interested if that's designed for under 5 feet passengers. As of about a year ago the roofline had a slightly sharper rake to it, which even in a drawing looked like it would leave little room in the third row. They clearly addressed that at some point without compromising the original design too much.
Moosetang
That's really darn good looking. Well done to the designers, looking forward to seeing more.

Hard to be sure just looking at the pics, but it appears to have pretty good headroom.

blksn8k2
Not a fan of the grille...a little too busy for my taste. But they nailed the wheel opening to tire fitment and overall wheel opening design and stance. One of the best I have seen from that perspective. Professor1234
If they can get the quality up (from what I've experienced in 3 MKXs) this will be my next vehicle... 3.0L TT (hopefully) rear drive AND plug in hybrid! What more could a person want!! My current lease is up in November 2019 so the timing should line up perfectly!
02MustangGT
So can we expect the next gen Explorer to share a similar top hat or at the very least, the same shape above the doors?
