Per yesterday's FDNB (Fleet Distribution News Bulletin) here's the production timetable for the 2018/2019 Ford Escape.

  • 06/29/2018 - 2018MY Fleet Final Order Due Date
  • 07/26/2018 - 2018MY Last Day to Spec Change
  • 10/07/2018 - 2018MY Job Last Date

  • 07/16/2018 - 2019MY Order Bank Open Date
  • 08/17/2018 - 2019MY Scheduling Begins
  • 10/08/2018 - 2019MY Job #1 Date

The 2019 Ford Escape Order Guide will be released to Dealers on or about the date that the USOB (Unscheduled Order Bank) opens and will be uploaded to the Order Guide Section as soon as it's available.

The FDNB (Fleet Distribution News Bulletin) provides a lot of information including model changeover schedules, fleet specific information along with information on scheduled plant "down" time. It was interesting to see that in yesterday's FDNB that the Escape plant is scheduled to be down the weeks of 06/18, 06/25, 07/02, 07/09 & 07/16. The weeks of 07/02 & 07/09 can be attributed to Ford's usual annual down schedule but the 3 extra weeks of down time are surprising for one of Ford's volume sellers. Perhaps there's advanced tooling changes being made but couldn't that be done during the annual two week shut down in July? Why the extra 3 weeks shut down for this volume model when the 2019MY Job #1 Date isn't until 10/08/2018? Maybe someone else has some information that may explain the long "down" schedule.

I keep wondering about the date "discrepancy" ... assuming both come from Louisville

2019my Escape ------- 7/16/18 OG/Bank, Job 1 = 10/8/2018

2019my MKC REVISED 2/12/18 OG/Bank, Job 1 = 5/7/2018

It is likely because the MKC gets a revised styling with the new Lincoln grille while the Escape will be a carryover.

that's fine for the minor, cosmetic touch-up on the C1 MKC

BUT what happens when the ALL-New, LARGER C2 Escape goes into production?
