bdegrand
Remind everyone to check your tire pressure during this recent brutal arctic cold blast we are experiencing. My new Car lost 8-10 lbs in the past couple weeks. I'm just saying...

SVOGT
My low pressure indicator went on at 28lbs on our Fusion Energi which is a good thing as my son's Focus ST goes on at 22lbs.
Assimilator
Yes, very good reminder.

Federal law requires it to go on at 25% below recommended. Your Fusion probably has a higher factory pressure recommendation than the Focus ST. SVOGT
I think they are both listed at 35lbs so the indicator should come on at 26lbs give or take. Thanks for the info Edited January 14, 2019 by SVOGT
akirby
Perhaps the Focus would have come on at 26/28 also?

Not with the older one, no. The newer one is a little more of a sophisticated system than the 2008 has. The light will come on if you start the car and it's below the threshold. akirby
You’re not getting the point. The question was why did the Focus come on at 22? Maybe it wasn’t running when the pressure hit 26.
twintornados
Easily fixed....LOL
SVOGT
Very good point & it's entirely possible it got down to 22 prior to starting it up... Thanks
