Dlcorbett
For those whose purchased their new expys and navis and have put some miles on them, how is the long term ride? Does it feel different than when you test drove it? How does it compare to your current or previous vehicles? Did you cross reference the ride with similar suvs and trucks before you bought? Also, what are the differences btw the versions? I maybe having second thoughts and would like to see peoples opinions on them. In our area, theres still not many to look at let alone drive. For reference, in a 20 mile radius, theres only 4, all 4wd, one max the others reg length.
HofstraJet
Are you asking about the 18s or Expys in general?

tbone
I cant say much about the new model as I dont know how much the frame and suspension was changed, but the previous generation ride quality was excellent, and better than the GM products, IMO (which Ive driven and ridden in many times). If you are expecting CUV ride quality it may not be quite that good, but it will be pretty darn close. It is definitely better than the truck ride quality that the Expy is based on. I would expect the 18 Expy to exceed the old model in every way. This opinion is based on driving the previous gen for 50k miles, then subsequent CUVs (Buick Enclave/Explorer Sport), and many years of truck ownership (all Fords of course). twintornados
Well, the ride quality of Expedition/Navigator will be better than the truck it is based on due to the independent rear suspension that is unique to that chassis. I would also assume that Ford did a heck of a job matching spring rates, dampers, and roll stability control components so that they ride much nicer than before...
