Lots of knocking, ticking, valve dropping, oil useage issues, out of round holes, and recessed valves with the 5.0. Boost used to be hard on stuff in the old days, but it just isn't as detrimental to long life now. Same experience here. 2011-2014 5.0 seem to be less troublesome than the 15+. I recall 4 ecoboost 3.5 with catastrophic failure.
YT90SC
I wish we would just stock a PFDI 5.0. Would save a lot of time.

You won’t get much with intakes, exhausts, throttle bodies, etc. - those are fairly well maxed out from the factory. thats good to know
theoldwizard
If you really want power, get it re-tuned to run E85. Fuel economy is terrible, but it will make a lot of power !

If you look in your Owners Manual, you will see that using E85 fuel, or any fuel containing more than 15% ethanol, is specifically prohibited. The fact that someone will sell you a tune giving you more power will not prevent the damage that fuel will cause to your engine and emissions system components, and resulting warranty issues if you should have problems later. Check your Owners Manual under "Fuel Quality" and "Choosing the Right Fuel". Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

I figured, I planned to get a mild tune with the Livernois T440 package
