dhemmer1
my 2014 Escape doors (all 4) don't latch when closed due to air pressure trapped in the cabin. Open the window and doors latch just fine.Dealer says nothing they can do. went out on lot and tried a dozen other ford escape from 2014 to new and none of them had this problem, yet the dealer claims there is nothing wrong with my car. any ideas? is there an air release valve someplace? akirby
There is a vent somewhere but I don't know where. You need a new dealer if that wasn't enough to convince them. Sounds like they were just being lazy and didn't want to do the work.
dhemmer1
That's just what I figured. Now if someone would just know where that relief valve or vent is?
akirby
That's just what I figured. Now if someone would just know where that relief valve or vent is? Strictly a guess but I would say around the rear wheel wells. Look for mud or dirt that might be caked around that area or anywhere underneath the rear cargo area. Or a varmint nest. fordtech1
I believe the body vents are behind rear bumper on corners. Behind rear wheels. Does it make a difference is the recirculation for the a/c button is on or not?
