silvrsvt
Didn't notice this thread back when it was relevant to reply, but Livernois has 2.7 Fusion tunes if you're still looking for one. https://www.livernoismotorsports.com/images/2017_Fusion_Sport.bmp (The forum won't let me link directly to a .bmp so you'll have to cut-and-paste to see the dyno chart.) What the heck is going past 4K RPMs?
brucelinc
What the heck is going past 4K RPMs? Good question...never seen anything like it....but I don't see how it could be a good thing.
boredinbirmingham
It looks like what Id imagine hitting the rev limiter would look like but that should be around 6500rpm.

boredinbirmingham
That makes more sense actually.... 4K is when the boost high and causing wheel spin.
brucelinc
At one point during the tuning process for my Continental, it exhibited a surging condition at higher RPM. The tuner had commanded higher boost and advanced timing. However, the car's ECU was retarding timing...to protect the engine from detonation... but then advancing it back...because that was what the tune commanded. This retard/advance was happening extremely rapidly. I suspect a dyno graph would have looked crazy but it was obvious what was happening from datalogging the car. The spark was just coming and going. The tuner solved it by making adjustments to the amount of timing added in relationship to boost levels. I am not suggesting that is what we see on these dyno sheets but it is a possibility. If that was the case, I would have expected Livernois to make some adjustments to the tune before offering it to customers or publishing the chart.

brucelinc
Twas the night before Christmas and in my garage, I heard a strange rattle but I don’t own a Dodge. I opened the door and heard hooves go click click, There stood Rudolph and good old St. Nick! I was quite shocked and didn’t know what to say, Santa said, “nice Lincoln, would you trade for my sleigh?” I said, “no way, Santa,” and started to grin, “but if you have some time, we could go for a spin.” His little round mouth, all turned up like a bow, turned into a smile and he said “Yes, let’s go!” I stepped on the gas and he said, “Man, that’s hot!” I said, "Santa, my friend, that's not all its got." As the turbos spooled up, he was taken by surprise, But he liked it a lot by the look in his eyes. Santa was giddy and never felt so alive, So I backed off the gas and said, “Wanta drive?” With his left foot on the brake and right on the gas, He built up some boost and really hauled @ss! Shoved back in the seat, Santa said, “I’ve been thinkin’ What I need tonight is your hotrod Lincoln!" “Not for sale,” I said “no matter what you say, Just get a hot tune for Rudolph and your sleigh!”
