Pete PDC
Hi Guys, My Name is Pete, i have had 5 new Transit Connects from new 2003 - 2017, i want to talk about for me this light problem first on my 2014 Trend and now my new T200 Limited, when I am on site and open the rear doors the side lights and load bay lights stay on for 12 mins and then switch off, if I shut the doors and open them again they stay on for another 12 mins and so on. Very annoying for me and I can't switch them off, I have tried my Ford Dealership, and quite frankly they don't care, this is a safety measure built into the van, LEARN TO LIVE WITH IT. Of course I am not pleased that something could be done. but they don't care, Now for me it gets worst, just purchased a New T200 Limited, I open the rear doors, the side lights and load bay lights you guess it stay on for 15 mins then switch off, with the rear doors still open I open the side slide door, and yes on come the lights again, after switch off, I open the drivers door on they come again, I DONT WANT THESE LIGHTS ON FULL STOP. Any ideas how to turn these lights off like can I take a fuse or relay out, and it wont interfere with the electric system. thanks for reading. Pete. ricks90billblass
On my 2014, if I pull back or push forward twice on the turn signal stalk, it will cancel the lights.
akirby
Check the owner’s manual - there should be an option to turn off or alter the courtesy lights and when they come on.
