fuzzymoomoo
Thanks. Trying to decide on an order and I'm hearing that some people have had build dates pushed back from October to the end of November so I was concerned that there might be a delay. at the beginning of production like this that's not unheard of. It will be less schizophrenic in a month or two.
wdrevell
Have a Mustang build on 10/4 VIN # 1FA6P8CF7J5100417. Continues to show waiting for transit as of 10/16. Is this normal? Is their any way to check in-transit status?

Is their any way to check in-transit status? For whatever reason FRAP is notorious for shipping delays, so yes it is somewhat normal. I can check your status later when I get home from work tomorrow morning. My password expired yesterday so I have to change it first and I can't get the tracking page to work on my phone. Pioneer
It was built alright. Just sitting there with TBD for the ETA. Your dealer might need to talk to their zone manager.
fuzzymoomoo
If it's a 2018 they might still be waiting on OK to buy

ice-capades
Per Ford's Scheduling Toolbox report this afternoon... The OK to Buy has been achieved for Manual Transmission ONLY for 5.0L and 2.3L engines. The OK to Buy has not been achieved with the Automatic Transmission. fuzzymoomoo
How do you know when the Ok is given? Is there a release in the dealer portal somewhere?
wdrevell
This link may explain the ordering process in more detail. http://www.blueovalforums.com/forums/index.php?/topic/63667-ford-vehicle-ordering-scheduling-process/
fuzzymoomoo
I understand how ordering works, I'm an employee. I can't find anything in anything I have access to that tells me when OK to buy is given.
ice-capades
How do you know when the Ok is given? Is there a release in the dealer portal somewhere? The notice was included in yesterday's Scheduling Toolbox which is under the Sales tab in the Order One Resource Center section. fuzzymoomoo
I saw that. Just wondering if it was available anywhere else or if that was it Side note: wtf is going on with EcoSport production?
ice-capades
I saw that. Just wondering if it was available anywhere else or if that was it Side note: wtf is going on with EcoSport production? I'm not aware of any other place where Ford posts the "OK to Buy" notices except for the scheduling update notices that the scheduler at the New York regional office sends out each week. I haven't seen or heard anything about EcoSport problems. I have 4 stock orders in process... 1 in production, 1 scheduled and 2 showing "In Transit" status. The 2 that have been shipped don't show any information (rail car, ship ID, etc.) other than a TBD for ETA. The Vehicle Visibility reports were showing ETA's (October & November... obviously in error) until a few days ago. Not expecting to see them hitting the ground at dealerships until at least January.
ice-capades
FYI... The "OK to Buy" status has now been achieved for ALL 2018 Mustang models! Vehicles coming off the assembly line will be released for immediate shipping. Vehicles produced prior to the "OK to Buy" will be re-inspected and repaired as necessary prior to being released for shipping.
