Decker
And labor backed the both of them ......... Politic`s has taken the place of unionism in organized labor. The politicians lied to the labor leaders for so long and our leaders got good at being just as self centered as the politicians that, unionism has been washed away and the labor leaders have turned into the same type of polticians as those that use half truths and lies as a normal means to get what they want. Proof of the union`s political stupidity is all around us, labor can send out all those e-mail reminders to call this representative or that representativie to urge them not to or to vote for labor interests but our dues money goes to the same politiciains that big labor told the sheep to vote for and what do these labor friendly politicians do? NAFTA.... and the news trade agreement...... Unfortunately Canada is being hit hard with all this political back stabbing. Decker
JT32
I don't know what's worse, that union leaders actually believed politicians or the membership who voted democrat EVERY election just because the union told them too... Use your own brain people, listen to all candidates then make your own educated decision who to vote for based on your own critical thinking skills.
fordd
This article shows how labor helped defeat the TPP, at least for the time being so maybe all unions are starting to wake up... http://www.nytimes.com/2015/06/14/business/labors-might-seen-in-failure-of-trade-deal-as-unions-allied-to-thwart-it.html?_r=
Decker
Great point fordd, even better article. But, did you notice something missing? Yep, there were three letters of the alphabet not mentioned or even referenced... The three missing letters represent a very politically dysfunctional organization. This politically dysfunctional organization makes deals to protect big business, at the hope of generating monthly dues. Believes governors that state in all the half truth glory of their promises in the political double talk. Then this organization spends more dues on one issue that is stated to be the fix for our weak organization then any other issue but, to date not one group of new members brought in..... Then there are the members of this organization that do all the work on the boats that make millions for the boats owners by people pulling on those one arm bandits. These members are opting out of this politically dysfunctional organization, why? I`m getting older so maybe I missed the three letters of the alphabet that represent the UAW...... Maybe Jimmy was busy having dinner with Mark? Decker
