High Pitched Noise Coming From Dash

I am leasing a 2014 Ford Fusion SE. It has about 6,000 miles on it. Ever since I have had the car I have been hearing a very high pitched noise coming from the dashboard. I thought that the sound may go away after I drove it for awhile but it hasn’t. The noise starts after you turn the car on and will stay on for a period of time after I turn the car off. The noise is constant and will get louder when the blinker is turned on. I have turned the radio off and the climate control off to make sure it is not coming from there. The car does not have to be driven to hear the noise. I have taken it to the dealer to have it looked at but they were not able to hear the noise. I told them that only younger people have been able to hear it. I am 26 and my brother is 23 and we can hear it but our parents that are in their late 50's cannot hear it. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for what this could be so that I could let the dealer know. So far I feel like they think I am crazy and are not taking it seriously. I called Ford service to try and figure out what is going on, they said the next step would be for me to go to the dealer and sit in the car with the technician. Not sure how that is going to help since it’s either you can hear the noise or you can’t.

Could be radiated noise from the door chime speaker. That was the case in my 2012 mustang. Drove me crazy until i founf it. And the mustang doesn't have a lot of electical wiring back there. The fusion has a ton, electrical, video and audio cables in that area. Easy area to get noise. Have a tech unplug the chime speaker and see if you can still hear it.

My mustangs buzz was at 17000 hertz. Must people over 40 couldn't hear it.

I hope the fusion I ordered doesn't have the buzz too...

Good luck. Let me know if this helped.

It is around 17000 hz. The door chimes are wired to the stereo which is also giving me fits there is a staticy noise in all inputs.Im stating to wonder if the noises are connected. seems to be an ecoboost thing

Good luck with your fusion make sure you listen for the noise before you pay for it. after many trips to the dealer and many phone calls to ford they just basicly told me to get over it its a normal noise.

If any body else has this issue please take it to a dealer and complain because they keep telling me nobody else has had this problem my hearing is so sensitive it's giving me migraines when I drive for any length of time. I don't know what else to do.

I hate it when dealers say "its normal". I owned a car audio shop for years and dealt with a ton of customers having issues like that. so a noise like that drives me nuts. I too get severe migraines so I feel for ya. See if any audio shops will take a listen and scope it for you. If so, take that info to ford customer relations. Good luck and keep us updated.
