MadManMoon
Hmm...some good news for my wife's 2010 Focus! Wonder if this will finally include vehicles equipped with MyFord Touch. I'd love to have it in my C-MAX!

joihan777
It would be nice if Ford allowed users to customize some buttons. The 2012 Mustang SYNC doesn't allow one-button access to Bluetooth audio... ya gotta go through 4-5 actions to get to your BT music... aggravating! On my escape I just double tap the voice button and say Bluetooth audio. Works every time. Can't imagine it would be different for other sync vehicles

NickF1011
It would be nice if Ford allowed users to customize some buttons. The 2012 Mustang SYNC doesn't allow one-button access to Bluetooth audio... ya gotta go through 4-5 actions to get to your BT music... aggravating! 4-5? Much simpler with MFT: Click the audio quandrant. Select the Bluetooth input from the available inputs on the left (may require one additional click to scroll down once). It can also be done from the right hand steering wheel controls if you choose that method. Edited January 23, 2014 by NickF1011
Michael Field
Yea, that's how both my 12 Focus (non-MFT) and 11 Edge Sport (MFT) work. Just tap the voice command and say "bluetooth audio". I am really looking forward to having app-link, as I mostly listen to Tune In Radio. I would like to change channels via steering wheel controls as opposed to having to grab my phone and manually change them at red lights. NickF1011
Has anyone seen a date for the upgrade release? Would like to know too. I still haven't done the most recent MFT update and will just skip it if this is coming anytime soon.

timf
The headline is not quite accurate. Ford sources over on the Fusion Hybrid forums indicated that MyFord Touch systems are NOT scheduled to receive AppLink at this time, nor is there a timetable to do so. The plan is for all cars built since 2010 with non-touch versions of Sync to get the update.
TomServo92
If you double-tap, you don't have to wait for the prompt. Ah! I didn't know that. I set the option for shorter voice prompts but that's an even better way. Thanks!
