C Crew slated to be gone after second quarter next year, will make it public late january early Feb.

Same stupid rehashed rumors going on at CAP for almost a year....

Could someone point out the slate (C Crew slated to ???) that this shit is wrote on.... Once again the crystal ball is telling whats going to happen at the end of the 2nd quarter? The ball ever give any winning numbers for the Michigan lottery?

Well there's all of FRAPs workers that they need.

http://www.autonews.com/article/20131126/OEM01/131129882/ford-to-idle-fusion-plant-in-michigan-extra-week-in-dec-to-curb#axzz2lnYupNQB

88 day supply of Fusions, over 100 day supply of Focus and C Max. FRAP doesn't need anyone and MAP doesn't need 3 crews. MAP has produced way more vehicles than sales every month for the past 17 months of 3 crew.

The other part of the "rumor" is that FRAP will need people for the Taurus when it goes there.

Same rumor we been hearing at CAP.....

Some time ago it was said "in very small print" FRAP was going to become an overflow production facility..... what happens when sales drop at an overflow facility?

Nothing in the article about the southern plant that produces the same unit being down?

Will MAP go to a 3 shift 8 hour operation or a 2 shift operation?

There is no parking at MAP for back to back shifts. When they were training the 3rd crew they had them park at Wayne Assembly and was using shuttle buses back and forth like at the airport. The parking at MAP is very small. I would say 2 shift is the option here.

No true about them using shuttle buses when the 3rd crew was being trained. Every yr about this same time car sales start to slow down its been this way for yrs. Then right after the auto show car sales will start to go up. All of this talk about them cutting the 3rd shift is all bs, the tier 2 workers are cheap labor, their overall "package" is 1/2 of that of tier 1. Their bc/bs is a cheaper package and not as good as that of tier 1 which cost FMC less, and they don't they get the rest of their complete medical (dental, optical) for 5yrs. So it would make no sense to get rid of the 3rd shift and lay them off. Its cheaper for FMC to keep them instead of having 2 shifts working O.T.
