mackinaw
Plus some more shots of the interior and some really great shots of a guard rail: http://www.motorauthority.com/news/1088038_2015-ford-mustang-convertible-spy-shots-with-interior
fordmantpw
That doesn't look like a new model year guard rail. Looks to be a previous model year with the cam applied BEHIND it for some reason.
mackinaw
I'm very disappointed with the design of the new '15 guard rail. It looks too much like last year's model. I was hoping for something brand new.
fordtech1
What keeps me from buying a mustang convertible is the lack of a automatic boot and rear rollover protection. Looking at this pics I doubt that has changed. But hopefully I am wrong. Hell the Eclipse and Sebring have automatic boots that cover the top when it is down. Plus the current mustang's top does not recess into the top well far enough for me.
akirby
You idiots! That's obviously a guard rail mule and not the actual '15 guard rail. The proportions are all wrong.
Anthony
Silly people, that's camo OF a guard rail. It's obviously bridge abutment in disguise.

I was hoping for something brand new. It obviously weighs too much and does not include an independent suspension. It will be a total failure.
probeGT
Oof! I am not digging that interior switchwork AT ALL.
RichardJensen
I miss the guardrails they had when I was a kid. Back then you could always tell one company's guardrails from another. Guardrails today look all the same. And I too am no fan of the switchgear. It's very GM-y.
silvrsvt
IMO the switchgear looks really rough to me...like it was cobbled together or its fake...
silvrsvt
With that being said...Ford is screwed either way...either we don't like the buttons or people feel like there isn't enough buttons because of MFT....rolleyes
fordmantpw
IMO the switchgear looks really rough to me...like it was cobbled together or its fake... I believe you are right on the fake part. I mean, this is Ford, not GM, so we shouldn't expect crap like that. I think this is nothing more than a body/chassis/powertrain mule/prototype, and the interior is not representative of the production version. At least, I hope that's the case.
RichardJensen
Nope. That's basically the production switchgear. It's not completely detailed (the vertical wheels which presumably adjust the temp have not been labeled), and it may not have the final finish, but this is far too late in the game for Ford to be running anything other than production prototype gear. Unless this is an early interior mule with near-production power train bits running around. One can hope, right? In the end, even this is near-production switchgear, I'm sure the final version will look fine with the fine details added in.
silvrsvt
The switchgear doesn't bother me that much, I like the toggle switches, just the rest of it makes me take pause and the front fascia of the center stack looks REALLY cheap looking, which I'm hoping a trim piece can take care of. RichardJensen
I like the *layout* of the switches, but I do not like the edema/blister/carbuncle/90s GM bulging:
