You used the word "your" incorrectly, . . . . again.

If it fell face up does the 5 second rule apply?

It's blatantly clear the Obama honeymoon is over. There was only a 4 month bump for the election, but he has returned to the apathetic sub 50% range.

I leads one to wonder how he can hold such sway on the Congress and media. Is there some artificial forces at work propping him up while the foundation crumbles?

Perhaps his opposition, by making him the topic of discussion, are inadvertently keeping him in the sphere of public consciousness. Otherwise, he would only be a forgotten after-thought of an office holder.

I just turn the TV to another program anytime Mr. O has anything to say, or ignore it all-together and turn it off.

Plenty of stupid republicans in power and not one drumbeat outta ya towards them. Tell us the myth of how you aren't partisan again? We all love to read fiction.

Isn't this thread about Obama? Yes.

If I take on Obama here, how is that mythical.

No doubt I do not like what Obama has done. His policies and influences are suspiciously motivated. Apparently you are holding a stick with a sign saying "Republican" or "Democrat" on opposite sides, so you flag me as one or the other. There is no alternative in your view.

Perhaps I don't challenge "republicans" on occasions when they have been adequately chastised by you or others. My lack of input can be indifference or acceptance of the current points made. I jump in where I have a different perspective. As I have said before, I fight the fights I choose to at the moment.

Just remember my famous quote, "I am dumbfounded how little is expected of our politicians and how much is tolerated."-FiredMotorCompany 2013".

That applies to all politicians. Republican, Democrat, Socialist, Libertarian, Independent, Tree-Hugger, et al.

I may be tilting at windmills, but I do hope that one day we will find sincere, conscientious, self-less, altruistic, honor-bound candidates dedicated to serving the best interests of their community, constituents and country.

Can you define the word "wude" ? Nice use of the English language...

We'd all like to hear your reply and then when you're done... Everybody will laugh at you! :hysterical:

I'm laughing at you for being such a grumpy old man and having never heard someone jokingly say, "How Wude!" (how rude!) so i guess we are even.

Obama speaks at the 50th Anniversary of MLK's "I have a dream" speech.......................and only pulls in 20,000.

He could have had 20,001 if they had invited the ONLY black Senator to speak. But, since he left the plantation, he's now persona non grata.

More proof race is trumped by party affiliation?

Maybe so.

I am sure he would have been welcomed among the Republicans, despite accusations they are so racially intolerant.

Sen. Tim Scott wasn’t invited to event commemorating MLK march on Washington

Did you test this story before you posted?

I'm thinking not. All i did was google news Sen. Tim Scott and at the top was..

Senator Tim Scott Turned Down Invitation to 50th Anniversary of ...

The invitation, sent Aug. 8 from the Coalition for the 50th Anniversary of the March on Washington, appears to have been a form letter to all members of Congress, with invitees listed as “Representative” rather than by name.
Within a day, Rachel Shelbourne, a staff assistant to Scott, had replied to the email with the following message:

“Thank you for extending to Senator Tim Scott the invitation to the 50th Anniversary of the March on Washington on August 28th. Unfortunately, the Senator will be in South Carolina during this time, so he will be unable to attend the event. Please do, however, keep him in mind for future events you may be hosting.”

Wow, he really was uninvited huh?

It was the Democrats who were behind the post Civil War racial discrimination, and now they condemn their own past behavior and continue to discriminate by patronizing blacks.

As you've said elsewhere today. It's an old tactic. Wait until it's too late, invite the man, who has no time to change their plans. Wallah! You can claim you asked but they refused.
