The "Thrill Is Gone"-The Collapse Of Obama-mania

Recommended Posts

Plenty of stupid republicans in power and not one drumbeat outta ya towards them. Tell us the myth of how you aren't partisan again? We all love to read fiction.

Isn't this thread about Obama? Yes.

If I take on Obama here, how is that mythical.

No doubt I do not like what Obama has done. His policies and influences are suspiciously motivated. Apparently you are holding a stick with a sign saying "Republican" or "Democrat" on opposite sides, so you flag me as one or the other. There is no alternative in your view.

Perhaps I don't challenge "republicans" on occasions when they have been adequately chastised by you or others. My lack of input can be indifference or acceptance of the current points made. I jump in where I have a different perspective. As I have said before, I fight the fights I choose to at the moment.

Just remember my famous quote, "I am dumbfounded how little is expected of our politicians and how much is tolerated."-FiredMotorCompany 2013".

That applies to all politicians. Republican, Democrat, Socialist, Libertarian, Independent, Tree-Hugger, et al.

I may be tilting at windmills, but I do hope that one day we will find sincere, conscientious, self-less, altruistic, honor-bound candidates dedicated to serving the best interests of their community, constituents and country.

I'm sorry. i should have never asked you to go off topic. How wude of me. As for your quoting yourself, like I said, we enjoy fiction, and your self-aggrandizement.

Can you define the word "wude" ? Nice use of the English language...

We'd all like to hear your reply and then when you're done... Everybody will laugh at you! :hysterical:

Obama speaks at the 50th Anniversary of MLK's "I have a dream" speech.......................and only pulls in 20,000.

He could have had 20,001 if they had invited the ONLY black Senator to speak. But, since he left the plantation, he's now persona non grata.

More proof race is trumped by party affiliation?

Maybe so.

I am sure he would have been welcomed among the Republicans, despite accusations they are so racially intolerant.

Senator Tim Scott Turned Down Invitation to 50th Anniversary of ...

The invitation, sent Aug. 8 from the Coalition for the 50th Anniversary of the March on Washington, appears to have been a form letter to all members of Congress, with invitees listed as “Representative” rather than by name.
Within a day, Rachel Shelbourne, a staff assistant to Scott, had replied to the email with the following message:
“Thank you for extending to Senator Tim Scott the invitation to the 50th Anniversary of the March on Washington on August 28th. Unfortunately, the Senator will be in South Carolina during this time, so he will be unable to attend the event. Please do, however, keep him in mind for future events you may be hosting.”

Wow, he really was uninvited huh?

As you've said elsewhere today. It's an old tactic. Wait until it's too late, invite the man, who has no time to change their plans. Wallah! You can claim you asked but they refused.

Take another swing.

How much more evidence is needed to show the "Thrill is Gone" other than our long-time ally, best friend, confidant ****cough, cough*** and staunch supporter, Britain, has left us hanging when we asked for help in the middle east.

So we look around and all we have to back us up is............................wait for it..................................................................................................................................................France?

The Senate’s only black lawmaker wasn’t invited to speak at Wednesday’s 50th anniversary March on Washington, because Tim Scott’s office declined an invitation to attend the ceremony as a spectator, according to a source connected to the event.

“Much of the speaking program was created based on those who were able to confirm availability to attend the event, and thus were able to speak at the event,” the source explained.

And based on an email exchange obtained by CQ Roll Call, the South Carolina Republican did receive an invitation to attend the festivities commemorating Martin Luther King Jr.’s delivery of the famous “I Have a Dream” speech.

The invitation, sent Aug. 8 from the Coalition for the 50th Anniversary of the March on Washington, appears to have been a form letter to all members of Congress, with invitees listed as “Representative” rather than by name.

Obama's reputation around the rest of the world isn't much better than here.

Here's an example of what many Americans have felt.

Across the camp, five miles inside Jordan, Syrian refugees gathered in small groups to listen to Barack Obama. Some watched on al-Jazeera TV, others tuned in to the radio, many followed on Twitter or online news sites. Expectations were high.

"We thought, when he began to speak, the strikes on Bashar al-Assad's regime were going to start immediately," said one refugee, Abu Assam. "Then he said 'but'." In Arabic "but" is "wa lakin", but in both languages the implication is the same. "It was when he said that word that everything came crashing down." He added: "Obama lied to us."

Poor, poor liberals. Their front man is stinking up the place. Obama may control the party, but the "progressives" aren't so convinced.

I guess the progressives aren't "left enough" for Langston.

Liberals reject Obama's case for Syria strikes; believe Obama and Kerry are lying

President Obama’s liberal activist base is adamantly opposed to military strikes in Syria, according to a new survey the Progressive Change Campaign Committee released Wednesday.

PCCC says more than 57,000 of its activists weighed in, and 73 percent of them opposed the U.S. taking action in Syria. Just 18 percent supported strikes, and just 14 percent said the U.S. should go ahead unilaterally if it can’t find any allies.

Indeed, a majority of the activists don’t believe Mr. Obama and Secretary of State John F. Kerry are being honest when they lay out their justifications for taking military action.

Four out of five activists also said they believe U.S. action will lead to deeper involvement in the civil war.

PCCC detailed the findings, which came from a three-day survey of its activists, in a memo to congressional Democrats.

“In the last 72 hours, we surveyed PCCC members across the nation – in every state and congressional district. We’ve received over 57,000 responses so far, and a clear result: Your progressive base stands firmly against bombing Syria,” said Adam Green and Stephanie Taylor, co-founders of PCCC.

So now your saying he's not a Muslim who's secretly helping Sharia take over the world? You've spent the entire presidency throwing shit against the wall along with almost every other conservative and it's nothing more than a giant fail. He's a Muslim, he's not liked by Muslims, he's not strong enough militarily, he shouldn't bomb Libya or Syria, He's not like Bush, he's kept many bush policies.

Make up your mind.
