dds010
A good set of sticky tires, a brilliant 2.7 Ecoboost V6 coupled to an aggressive AWD system and the MKZ is loaded for bear. < SARCASM METER ON> You can't do that with a main stream platform, you have to spend billions and be BMW or Audi < SARCASM METER OFF> My exact point, ppl want Lincoln to be something that is impossible for them to currently be (rwd) because of budget constraints BUT when you even mention them doing something different, such as putting the 3.5 or upcoming nano in a more sport oriented model (not full out performance like amg or rs, more like a s5) its shot down as being rediculous OR "Lexus or BMW doesn't do that" THATS the point, even though Lincoln is not competing directly with either BMW or BENZ, they CAN have certain aspects of the car that blow them out of the water, and the 3.5eb or the upcoming nano (along with upcomming new tranny) with revised awd software would be get with minimal costs
jpd80
Were is Cadillac's CTS hybrid? Or is that an unfair question considering GM's myopic view of the Luxury market..... The stone cold truth is that GM is miles behind in electrification technology and is covering up by playing the performace RWD/AWD vehicle card. dds010
With the upcoming mkc concept ( or whatever it will be called) being shown a the auto show next week, hopefully we will see more Lincoln exclusive tech as well as a truly Lincoln exclusive engine and drivetrain (2.9 ecoboost, 8-9 speed tranny, revised awd???). Also at some point in time, Lincoln needs to change engine/tech branding (my lincoln touch, ecoboost) that is closely named after ford's.
