November brought growth throughout Ford's product portfolio in the U.S., with car sales up 15 percent, utilities up 2 percent and trucks up 4 percent.

"November represented a strong month for the industry, and Ford sales performed well across the board," said Ken Czubay, Ford vice president, U.S. Marketing, Sales and Service. "We saw sharp increases in demand for Ford's fuel-efficient small cars, our best-ever month for electrified vehicles and growing demand for our fuel-efficient and capable F-Series pickups."

Ford had its best small car November sales month since 2000, with Focus, the all-new C-MAX Hybrids and Fiesta sales totaling 26,848 vehicles – a 76 percent increase over last year. Focus sales were up 56 percent versus year-ago levels, while the all-new C-MAX Hybrid lineup gained 52 percent versus October, when the C-MAX Energi went on sale.

The Ford F-Series, America's best-selling vehicle, posted an 18 percent increase, with 56,299 vehicles sold in November. This represents F-Series' best November since 2005 and 16 straight months of year-over-year sales increases.

Ford's total November sales of 177,673 vehicles increased 6 percent versus last year, with retail sales up 12 percent.

Ford also announced its 2013 first-quarter North American production plan. The company plans to build 750,000 vehicles in the first quarter, up 11 percent (73,000 vehicles) from 2012's first quarter. Fourth quarter production of 725,000 vehicles is unchanged from previous guidance.

F-series slaughtered GMT900's last month.

F-Series sales numbers in Nov. 2012 slaughtered those for just about everything - all Ford passenger cars combined, all Honda passenger cars combined (domestic), the entire Volkswagen brand, the entire Hyundai brand, the entire Kia brand, and every colly bird, french hen, and partridge in a pear tree.

Wonder whats up with Camaro sales...for crying out loud the Sonic outsold it! LOL

Sales incentives for Camaro were not as generous as its competitors last month. In the Indianapolis area, base rebate offers for the trifecta of pony cars were: $500 for 2013 Camaro, $1,000 for 2013 Challenger, and $1,500 for 2013 Mustang.

Bet that will change as GM attempts to outsell the Mustang for '12...

Interesting that all current Lincolns are up over last year.

Barely!

Still as a group Lincoln is down by volume, MKZ is down quite a bit for the month (not unexpected considering the 2013 hoopla).

Hard to imagine the MKT is the bright spot!???

And what happens if you take the Town Car out of the comparison?

It's pretty much out of the picture already with only 12 sold, as a BRAND Lincoln is down 9.1. 12 units has little to no effect on total sales.

It's the MKZ sales in January/February that will tell the real story. It will be UP for sure!

The 2013 MKZ's price is up, while the old MKZ was a notorious incentive queen, they really were giving those cars away like the good old days. You won't see that happening with the new car so every sale should be more profitable, but I don't think you're going to see major volume there. The car that will change the status-quo at Lincoln is the Escape which will contribute allot of volume to the brand. Hopefully we'll see that before 2013 ends.

Lincoln will see a natural sales increase as it finally fills out it's entry-level portfolio and de-emphasizes its traditional roll as a high-end luxury car and moves into mid-level luxury like Buick, GMC, and Chrysler. At some point Lincoln will probably move to take on Lexus, Caddy, Audi, etc..., but for now they have to be very good at being very middle.
