dbdb
I have a new 2013 Ford Escape SEL, ginger ale, sync, trailer tow. I have noticed that the clock will occasionally be wrong. What seems to happen is that the clock will not run for the duration that the ignition is off. Turn the vehicle off at 1:13pm, return at 3:45pm and the clock will start at 1:13 and run from there. Also, at random times at start up the audio system will start playing off the SD card even though this was not the last audio source use. Small things I know, but annoying. Is there a firmware update in the works to fix this?
rk2112
I was using the navigation yesterday set my destination, it was 5:00pm the Nav said my eta would be 22 minutes. When I pressed the eta time on the screen it told me eta 22 minutes would have me arrive at my destination at 10:22 am????

svtenthusiast
Typical MyFord Touch issues/bugs. They claim they are beta testing a update to the system as we speak. My clock locks up at least once a month, very annoying, and I also have the haunted audio selection. To find a comprehensive list of all the issues go here: http://www.outofmytouch.com

pillboy
What, something as simple as a clock won't even work right? :eek5:
Snoberon
Noticed the same issue with my clock the last 2 nights.
golowes48
I noticed that around 7PM ET the date changes to the next day. Anyone else notice this?
svtenthusiast
Yes, the calendar is usually one day off, no way to set the calendar manually. Another common MyFord touch issue/bug, mine is the same way.
pillboy
Is the clock/calendar just an internal function of the infotainment system, or is it getting data from the outside world such as a radio station, Sirrius, navigation satellites, the mother ship, etc? svtenthusiast
It's set off the GPS module for both nav and non-nav units, even though on non-navigation systems there isn't a "sync GPS" for the time, not sure why this is.
Devy
I was having the same issue with my clock so I stopped in at the Ford service center. The service rep found that Ford is aware of the issue and working on a fix. The rep told me it normally takes 6-8 weeks for an update. So I hope it comes soon I have to fix the clock just about every other day.

pillboy
There's a MyFord Touch 3.2.2 update available at syncmyride.com. I'm going to assume there is a place in the settings area to what version of crapware is currently installed...
transitman
I'm going to assume there is a place in the settings area to what version of crapware is currently installed... The 2013 Escape comes installed with: Gen2 - v3.0.2 You can access this info on your sync my ride page under account settings, or in the settings screen on the MFT system. svtenthusiast
I would not install the 3.2.2 update, it's being reported the climate control quadrant craps out on the Focus and Escape version of MFT with this update. Good job Ford!
frbl
My 2012 Esacpe (built on 9/27) came with 3.2.2. installed. I haven't noticed any climate control problems (yet?).

Good job Ford! At least some Escape owners have done successful updates with no climate control issues.

inswva
FWIW, updating MFT to 3.2.2 did nothing to fix the clock problem. Time was wrong again this morning.

NickF1011
Makes me wonder what the heck they changed between the MFT hardware between different vehicles. Even BORG has reported that many of his early MFT problems no longer occur on his MKX, and my Edge has been pretty good. Haven't heard many gripes from Explorer owners with MFT either. Although not very common, I haven't heard any issues on MFT in the '13 Taurus/MKS yet either. Wonder what's going on to make the Escape and Focus have these other random issues that none of the other vehicles seem to be experiencing?
