At this point, so effin what about panel gaps and sh!it? If it is still running a dozen years later, that's what matters more. BTW, Ford USA was right to take a pass on the Mk II, it had the dull boring look of the first gen Five Hundred, I'll take my 2009 over that hideous Mk II sedan, it looks like a warthog. [The hatch was 1980's GM X car] The difference I've noticed was that the MK IIs have a lot more width and feel much more like an early Mazda 6. and I take the opposite view on styling, the C170 US restyle is pretty blech, I'm glad the ROW got C1.
