Explorer4X4
Ford has achieved much and is the only one of the Big Three to hold it's place through Nissan and Toyota's rise according to Time. Here is a few of Ford's current vehicle success through the Ford, Lincoln and Mercury divisions: 1)Ford Explorer, the most popular truck-based Sport Utility and the longest surviver out of it's competitors, the Chevrolet Blazer (discontinued) and Dodge Dakota (very unpopular compared to Explorer), 2)Ford Escape is the most popular compact SUV, with the Toyota RAV4 close behind. 3)Ford Escape/Mercury Mariner Hybrids: Most fuel efficient small SUVs 5)2007 Ford Shelby Mustang GT500 is the fastest Modern Muscle car with a powerful Triton V8 that oozes out a juicy 475 horses, more then the 2006 Dodge Charger SRT-8 or 2006 Pontiac GTO Sport 6) 2006 Ford Crown Victoria is the most popular fleet vehicles since the legendary Plymouth Fury. 7)2006 Ford Econoline E-350 is the strongest commercial van on the market, not mentioning it being the most popular for commercial and company use. 8)Lincoln Mark LT, only luxury truck (Escalade EXT is a crossover SUV/truck) 9)Lincoln Zephyr, most popular entry-level luxury sedan Good reasons for a party, BUT! Ford is behind with it's F-series which lost to the 2006 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD Dually for power, 06' Ram SRT-8 for speed and 06' Nissan Titan for popularity. But in my opinion the F-150 is the greatest truck on Earth! If Ford modernizes it's current F-series engines, adds the Super Cheif concept and adds a little more excitement and power to the F-150, it'll dominate the mid-size truck, luxury truck, fuel-efficient truck, and heavy duty truck market, it is already close, just one more step. The only other company Ford isn't the leader of is the minivan as it is in dead last! I think we're at the point of no return at this point for minivans, sad. If the Fairlane gets the go, it might bite into the Caravan and Uplander customers and maybe if they make it even better thent it was at the show, just might pass into second above the Sienna. 630land
"2006 Ford Crown Victoria is the most popular fleet vehicles since the legendary Plymouth Fury." Umm, you mean the Volare based Gran Fury of the 80's, which sold 90% fleet, and 10% old timers. It was far from the 1960's 'legandary' cars, with the 120 hp 318.
