FoMoCobra
I knew it! I've always felt that the 3.5L EB would be perfectly at home under the hood of the Raptor. Boy, things just keep on gettin better.. Go Ford! You will earn my dollars soon!
NLPRacing
I'm having a hard time thinking that a 3.5L TT V6 would be better than a souped up 6.2L N/A V8, 5.0L S/C V8 or maybe even a 7.0L N/A V8. I guess we'll have to wait & see...

NLPRacing
Better MPG's at least I could see that for maybe a Raptor "SFE", but a Raptor "R" should have a big, bad, no excuses type engine.

Deanh
Dean: Have u heard it the Eco is going to be a premium only fuel requirement?? no, but iwould think it seriously doubtful that it would. My guess, you will get a bump in HP if you go premium, and a small decline when running regular, but the engine should run fine both ways
wildosvt
Maybe it will perform better with the lighter nose? The one report stated that the extended cab was more nimble (most likley due to the shorter wheelbase) then the 6.2L supercrew they got to joy ride. Just a thought. atomaro
Sorry, an EcoBoost v6 in a Raptor R just gives me indigestion. EcoBoost the Coyote or something.
PWR Kid
I think a EB V8 (of any size) would just rock so much. There is no way I couldn't buy one.
94bronco
I would rather see the 7.0 make an apperance
MY93SHO
Some of you need to take a pill. It's being done as a "one off" to showcase the EB in the F150. They're not replacing the 6.2 with it and they're not going to build hundreds of them. Sheesh.
atvman
I think this is a good idea, a bit risky, but overall good. If the 3.5L EB can tackle the Baja 1000, then it should be plenty durable for the average Home Depot run F150 owner. The only bad thing that could happen is the engine failing, that would certainly raise some eyebrows.

Thats what I was thinking also...would be great advertising for the EB F-150....and remove any fears people might have with it...if it can survive the Baja, it should survive a home depot run LOL
one2gamble
I dont have an issue with a EB 3.5 being available in some hyped up form but the "R" should be the first EB V8.

V8-X
Dang, Ford is making my future so much brighter! When the time comes to replace my '06 F150, I'll test the Raptor Screw. Hopefully the dealer will have the 5.0L, 6.2L and EB 3.5L versions available for test drives so I can determine what is best for my needs.
