Are you really that blind?

All news networks have their own slant. Fox is the minority in a heavily left leaning media.

If someone really has to point out the obvious you don't have a clue.

All news should be taken with a grain of salt but Fox has reported things the "main stream" media leave out and not by accident.

It's ironic that Obama states you must have a dialogue with enemies or hostile nations yet the same administration has stopped talking / answering any questions from a domestic news agency.

Can you say LIGHTWEIGHT.

well there are different kinds of media

print, video, radio are probably the big three.

90%+ of my tv is three networks, Fox, Disney, and GE which of those is liberal?

Print two major papers owned by the same company, and most of the smaller papers are heritage

and except for 6 public radio stations they are all owned by conglomerates.

So in the Metro Detroit area if you listen to public radio, read the metro times, and only watch local access I can see how the liberal media can be a big part of our world, but since that is probably highly unlikely for most people around the motor city I still find the whole liberal media thing a bunch of crap.

ok wait I did come up with one thing, some claim that Glenn Beck is a fair and balanced reporter, but wait, that is a liberal definition, he even states that he is a commentator.

CNN Drops to Last Place Among Cable News Networks

For the month, CNN averaged 202,000 viewers between the ages of 25 and 54 – the group that television news organizations use as their basis of success because of their advertising sales. That was far behind the dominant leader, Fox News, which averaged 689,000. But it also trailed MSNBC, which had 250,000 viewers in that group and HLN, which had 221,000.

NY Times article

Newspaper circulation drop accelerates April-Sept

As both publications indicated earlier in the month, The Wall Street Journal surpassed USA Today as the top-selling newspaper in the United States. The Journal's average Monday-Friday circulation edged up 0.6 percent to 2.02 million -- making it the only daily newspaper in the top 25 to see an increase.

American are tiring of the liberal media!

Conservatives Maintain Edge as Top Ideological Group

PRINCETON, NJ -- Conservatives continue to outnumber moderates and liberals in the American populace in 2009, confirming a finding that Gallup first noted in June. Forty percent of Americans describe their political views as conservative, 36% as moderate, and 20% as liberal. This marks a shift from 2005 through 2008, when moderates were tied with conservatives as the most prevalent group...................

Bottom Line

Americans are more likely to consider themselves conservative this year than they were in 2008, resulting in conservatives -- now 40% of the American public -- outnumbering moderates for the first time since 2004. While Gallup first documented this trend in June, the finding has been sustained through the third quarter.

Fox and others. All fear, and misinformation all the time.

Short clips accompanied by eerie music. Why don't you show some proof that anything on FOX is a lie? FOX was accused of sedition by Joe Klein of Time Magazine without citing any examples. Bill O'Reilley invited him to come on the show and explain himself, but he doesn't have the guts. You are caught up in Obamamania, and all I see is Maobama. The White House is quoting Mao Tze Dung, the murdering dirt bag now. You don't find that out anywhere but on FOX. The other media are too scared to touch it. That is why FOX is #1.

So which comedy show are you referring to... Beck?.... O'Riley? ....All of Fox news?

I get a real kick out of the way the lap-dog media keeps slobering over Obama when it is getting more and more apparent every day that he is a socialist/communist. He is going down in flames. That is comedy. FOX is against Communism. The slobbering lap dogs will say that is racist. Communism is not a race.

They are all comedy in a sense that they make fun of the current administration and its group of followers.

The above and the likes of Limbaugh,Howard Stern, etc. are all entertaining and funny a-holes but they hit on the truth once in a while. Face it,when the administration tries to fact check a comedy (SN) and cant dispute what was said it really makes them look inept. If your one of the follower es of the inept you should stick with what your good at.

Be happy, your "guy" is in control and with his own party they can do anything they want to do. The beauty of that is they have no one else to blame failure on.

Fox News Viewed as Most Ideological Network

Swine Flu Tops Weekly News Interest

Summary of Findings

The Fox News Channel is viewed by Americans in more ideological terms than other television news networks. And while the public is evenly divided in its view of hosts of cable news programs having strong political opinions, more Fox News viewers see this as a good thing than as a bad thing.

Nearly half of Americans (47%) say they think of Fox News as “mostly conservative,” 14% say it is “mostly liberal,” and 24% say it is “neither in particular.” Opinion about the ideological orientation of other TV news outlets is more mixed: while many view CNN and the three broadcast networks as mostly liberal, about the same percentages say they are neither in particular. However, somewhat more say MSNBC is mostly liberal than say it is neither in particular, by 36% to 27%.

The perceptions of those who regularly tune into these news networks are similar to those of the public. Nearly half (48%) of regular Fox viewers say the network is mostly conservative. About four-in-ten (41%) regular viewers of CNN describe the network as mostly liberal and 36% of regular MSNBC viewers say the same about that network.

The latest weekly News Interest Index survey, conducted October 23-26 among 1,001 adults by the Pew Research Center for the People & the Press, also shows that Americans followed news about the spread of the swine flu and the availability of a vaccine more closely than any other major news story last week. And the percentage of Americans saying they followed swine flu news very closely (43%) now matches the highest levels of interest reached during the previous flu outbreak in May.

The survey also finds the public is evenly split in its view of cable news hosts “having strong opinions about politics.” About four-in-ten (42%) see this as a good thing while an identical percentage sees it as a bad thing. By 51% to 36%, regular Fox News viewers view cable hosts with strong political opinions as a good thing; regular viewers of other TV news outlets are more evenly divided over opinionated cable news hosts.

More Fox Viewers See Other Networks as Liberal

The perception of Fox News as mostly conservative is shared equally by regular Fox News viewers and regular viewers of other TV news networks. Half of regular CNN viewers see the Fox News Channel as mostly conservative, as do 48% its own viewers, 48% of regular MSNBC viewers and 45% of the regular viewers of national nightly network news on ABC, NBC and CBS.

By contrast, regular Fox News viewers are more likely than those who tune into other news networks to see those networks as mostly liberal. For instance, 50% of regular Fox News viewers say NBC News is mostly liberal, compared with only about third of regular viewers of CNN (35%), MSNBC (31%) and the nightly network news (34%). There are comparable differences between how Fox News viewers and other news audiences see the ideologies of CBS News and ABC News.

Nearly half of Fox News viewers also say that CNN (49%) and MSNBC (47%) are mostly liberal. However, nearly as many CNN viewers (41%) say that network is mostly liberal; similarly, 43% of regular MSNBC viewers say that network is mostly liberal.

Views of the networks’ ideologies also differ greatly by personal ideology. More than half of liberals (57%) say Fox News is mostly conservative, compared with 46% of moderates and 44% of conservatives.

By contrast, 48% of conservatives say that MSNBC is mostly liberal, compared with 31% of moderates and 29% of liberals. These are similar to views of CNN: 51% of conservatives say the network is mostly liberal, while 33% of moderates and 28% of liberals agree. There are comparable ideological differences in perceptions of the ideologies of NBC News, ABC News and CBS News.

Divided Over Opinionated Cable Hosts

The public is split over whether it is a good thing or bad thing for hosts of cable news shows to have strong opinions about politics; 42% see this as a good thing while as many see it as a bad thing. In July 2003, 47% said it was a good thing for hosts to have strong political opinions, while 40% saw it as a bad thing.

Just over half of regular Fox News viewers (51%) say it is a good thing, while 36% say it is a bad thing. Opinions are more evenly divided among regular viewers of the other cable news channels and network news, as well as regular newspaper readers and online news users.

Views of Obama Coverage

There has been a steady decline since early this year in the proportion saying the press has been fair in the way it has covered Barack Obama. Currently, 37% see coverage of Obama as fair, down from 43% in August and 64% in January, shortly after Obama’s inauguration.

Over the same period, increasing percentages say Obama coverage is not critical enough and too critical. Currently, 31% say Obama coverage is not critical enough (up from 18% in late January) and 26% say it is too critical (12% in late January).

Fully 60% of Republicans say the press is not critical enough of Obama, while nearly as many Democrats see coverage of Obama as too critical (41%) as fair (44%). Among political independents, about as many say the coverage has been fair (38%) as not critical enough (35%).

Among regular viewers of Fox News, 45% say the press has not been critical enough of Obama, compared with 15% of regular MSNBC viewers, 23% of regular CNN viewers and 21% of regular nightly network news viewers.

except of olberman which news caster on a non-faux news network is up Obamas con hole? oh maddow? any others ?

Well, let's be honest, Olbermann isn't a "news caster". He isn't a journalist, and he doesn't report the news.

Rachel Maddow, as you said, is clearly up there. So is Chris "thrill up my leg" Mathews. Jack Cafferty is another. Again, not a journalist, but since she is on two different shows, on two different networks, and even though she has no political experience or knowledge, she still talk politics, Joy Behar. Christ, throw fat cow Oprah in there too. Hell, can't forget David Letterman as well. In fact, pretty much everybody who is on TV is up Obama's corn hole. I just don't have the time to list them all.

Listen, Fox news is without a doubt right leaning. And sure, they will be opposed to a Democratic President the vast majority of the time. But they are no different with Obama, then what NBC or CBS was with Bush.

I ask Fox News haters this one thing. If GWB had kicked three reporters off his plane during the Presidential campaign because the news papers they worked for endorsed the other guy, then said the News Channel that opposed him wasn't a "real news channel", what would you say?

It scares me that in a country where freedom of speech is the most important thing the country's founders believed in, that the President is doing his best to silence his critics.

The reality is, Obama is far from perfect. And it is a good thing there are people out there to let the people know, and not try and cover them up.

This is what Fox News brings to America.

Reminds me of the Nazi brown shirt tactics of Germany in the nineteen thirtys.

Police called in to NY-23 polling stations because of voter intimidation by teabaggers!

By John Amato Tuesday Nov 03, 2009 10:00am

The teabaggers are turning to threats and intimidation out there in NY-23 land.

Elizabeth Benjamin writes in the NY Daily News:

It's getting ugly out there.

I just got off the phone with former state Democratic Chairwoman June O'Neill, who informed me the police had been called to at least two polling sites in St. Lawrence County due to overzealous electioneering (O'Neill called it "voter intimidation") by Doug Hoffman supporters.

"We've gotten reports that people are standing there, covered with Hoffman stickers and yelling anti-choice stuff at voters," said O'Neill, a St. Lawrence native who has been running the party's GOTV effort for Bill Owens in NY-23.

"Apparently, there's some woman claiming to be a commissioner," O'Neill continued. "Commissioner of what, I don't know. She's from Texas, I think, and she won't leave."

"This is not the way we roll in the North Country."'

O'Neill also said she had received anecdotal reports of problems at polling sites in Gouverneur, which is Assemblywoman Dede Scozzafava's hometown. But she couldn't immediately confirm this.

I called over to the St. Lawrence Board of Elections and got GOP Elections Commissioner Debbie Pahler on the line. She confirmed that the police indeed had been called, but she downplayed the incident, saying it's "a routine procedure here in the county."

"We had electioneering within the 100-foot polling marker," Phaler said. "It's my understanding that they were asked to leave and wouldn't leave."

"If people are electioneering within the marker and don't stop when we ask them to, our inspectors are instructed to call law enforcement to assist them. I don't think anybody was arrested."

O'Neill also said she had received anecdotal reports of problems at polling sites in Gouverneur, which is Assemblywoman Dede Scozzafava's hometown. But she couldn't immediately confirm this.

The Glenn Beck crowd are out there yelling anti-choice crap. They will bring the same anger and hatred they brought to the town halls that they disrupted. This is going to put a lot of stress on local police forces.

This is just the beginning. Gee, I wonder if Fox News will cover this voter intimidation and try to make a national story out of it. OK, I was joking. I hope the local media up in NY-23 get plenty of video of this.
