Jesus freaks and religious zealots are narrow- minded scary people.

Really,

In my small city alone, we have two hospitals and three universities that were built by these "scary people", two relief agencies that not only help out localy, but send relief all over the country. The most effective substance rehab in the city, (that's a quote from our Dem Mayor). A large homeless shelter & soup kitchen, (that our city police use as a drop off point for poeple in need)..... The list goes on and on.

What's really scary, is my city/Country without these "scary people".

Please excuse me while I pack equipment for my Churches relief trip to Texas.

May God Bless you!

Without a doubt there are some very good Christian relief organizations.

On the flip side, when you combine Far Right politics with religious zealots, you get the "Timothy McVeys" of this world. There are extremist on the FAR R & L who we should all be scared of!

In case you haven't noticed Sarah Palin is old news. The stock market took a 504 point dump today because of the policies put into place by the Republican Congress and supported by W and McCain. McCain's economic brain Phil Gramm was the architect of the Enron Loophole and the deregulation of investment banking that have led us to where we are today.

It's the economy stupid. Everything else is just a distraction.

Oh Mark, oh Mark, thank you for opening that door, lolol.

IT IS THE ECONOMY STUPID, right?!?!?!!?!?! Well, WHY are we having problems, tell us the two things that are causing it!!!!!

(Whosure answers for Mark to help his cause) 1. Oil prices, 2. the housing disaster.

So who caused it Mark, was it Bush and the republican policys?

(Whosure again answers for Mark due to expediency purposes) Yes, and Phil Gramms, and all those ridiculous republicans who have screwed things up.

REALITY-------> 1. As it will be shown shortly all over the airwaves, Democrats have consistently BLOCKED new drilling, and refinerys. Soooooooo, problem 1 lies DIRECTLY at the feet of the Democrats, and they still are trying to do it, so I need say no more.

2. You like this one don't ya, lolol. Oh whoa is me, how can I possibly deflect such obvious FACT%S from the brilliant minds of liberals. Republicans are the problem with the housing market, hmmmm!!!!!

Wait, I have it, and I am GOING TO GIVE IT TO YOU, hehehehehehehehehe. In an interview of Robert B. Reich, (do you know who that is, or must we have to teach you liberals everything) he eloquently ADMITTED that the housing crisis roots were born shortly after he left Washington, just as MOST economists had said.

What exactly happened?

Why the President took out force the Glass-Siegal bill which had been put in place in 1934. (or maybe 38, not positive) The reason for this law was to STOP exactly what the BANKS and BROKERAGE houses did. If you read what almost all economists say, this was the BIGGEST blunder as far as policy that got us into this mess.

Oh yeah, one more thing, the PRESIDENT WHO SIGNED THE REPEAL, hehehehehehehehehe.........WILLIAM, JEFFERSON, (I FEEL YOUR PAIN) CLINTON.

So yep, IT IS THE ECONOMY STUPID, and you guys haven't got a clue!!!!!

timmm, great point!

seriously, imawhosure, you need to take a break. you're going to blow a gasket.

keep your lists shorter, ima. it's really a lot of work to read through your exclamation points and all that.

the only list you need is this:

1. are we better off now than we were when the republicans took office 8 years ago?

2. see #1.

easy.

I don't think it's the length of Ima posts that bother you, it's the content.......the truth.........I'm much better off than I was 8 years ago.......the housing crisis was caused by the easing of the rules to qualify for mortgages.......that goes back to the Clinton admin. when Andrew Cuomo was HUD director and urged Congress to relax the standards for qualifying for a mortgage......all in the name of leveling the playing field for minorities to qualify........now we'll all pay.....

It's 1 definition, not the only one. and in the case it's being used we all know the definition that is being used, well those of us with any sense.

Your dumb ass spins it to use the first one so you can make your lame ass argument that a McDonald's worker could be president.. with your logic no wonder fomoco is in trouble.

You can put a spin on things all you want call me a dumb ass, claim I'm making a lame ass argument all you want, and I did not say a McDonald's worker could be president I said a manger from McDonald's, but a fact is a fact, and the fact is I was repeating just what your good friends on Fox News had said when it was brought up about Palin's experience and they said about her executive experience and that Obama, and Biden had none and that a manager from Taco Bell has more executive experience than both of them because that is an executive position, but then when it was brought up about McCain not having any executive experience the joke was over. As far as Ford being in trouble because of me, I really did not know that I was running the company, maybe I should fire your dumb ass, that should be a start in the right direction thats my Conservative side.

Hehehehehehehe, you see, even you know the arguement you make has no legs, lolol. Take your choice, either Clinton coulda vetoed it and didn't, or the Repubs had pressure put on them by the Rev and his crew to agree.(Who do you think is going to be shown to have brought pressure? Mickey Mouse, lolol)

Maybe you should look up newpaper clippings on the matter to see how this is actually going to end up being seen once it is brought to light, instead of listening to your liberal friends who just keep repeating the same thing over and over, which you all seem to buy into collectively. Even the New York Times and Chicago Tribune have your guys screaming to "get er done," lolol. FOR FAIRNESS AS A REASON NO LESS, lolol. See what liberal/socialist policys do when enacted, lolol. They all sound good, till you gotta pay the piper.

This is going to be an excellent lesson in politics for you guys, once you open the economy can of worms. You see, while you will saddle the republicans with some of what you wish, the whole can of worms that is left will be brought right back to your doorstep, and that will be a big surprise to even most of you. See, many of the problems facing America today were created during the Clinton years. Many of the fixes that were supposed to happen by YOUR NEW DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS have not only failed, but in many instances, made matters WORSE. The only way to try and wiggle out of that little factoid, is try and claim the NEW CONGRESS HASN'T DONE ANYTHING. That will go over real well in mainstream America.

Watch and see!!!! This is going to be great theatre, lolol.;

no, sorry. i don't read all of the content. once i get to falsehoods and downright lies, i just stop reading. i don't need to read the rantings of rightwing racists and/or rednecks.

when conservatives close their minds to the truth and begin to manufacture history via "the good old days" of ronald reagan, then everyone loses.

conservatives, listen up. the world changes. if you don't change with it, and you hold fast to your age old ideas of business and social issues, you are destined to lose touch. much like the US has lost touch. strongarming the rest of the world doesn't work anymore. deficit spending doesn't work anymore. none of the tenants of conservatism really work anymore.

How about a little stereo-typing?......what happen to all-inclusive liberals of old......it's been a long time since I've seen the selection of a running mate shake things up the way the "Barracuda" has....I think it's comical the way you all are running around saying that she will make no difference in this election...all-the-while all the polls say something different......I have yet to see anyone start a topic about Biden....I wonder why????....could it be that he was a huge mistake????

I agree!!!!! She is just a woman. She is like middle class women everywhere..........er except maybe in the vestibules of the enviro nation. She reminds people of someone they would like to talk to, sit across and have a drink, talk plain English instead of political speak.

Liberals can't stand it. We gotta be good little socialist robots for the common good of everyone, while sacrificing even our own family if need be.

The problem is simple------------>Palin is closer to EVERY WOMAN, than either Clinton or Pelosi can ever be. Women will listen, and they will understand the female speak she says, far more than we men can understand it, or Barry......errr I mean Barack, or Joe can say it. It is a connection that women have, that men just don't understand. (how they do it, I don't understand it either so don't ask me, we all know it exists though)

Remember-------->If Palin gets Mcain elected, twas not Republican dirty tricks that caused you dems to lose. It was POOR, INEXPERIENCED JUDGEMENT on the part of Barack, who let his wife MICHELLE deep six HILLY.

In other words gentlemen, if Mcain gets elected, it was soley because of TWO WOMEN. Now then, not only have they for totally different reasons, picked the next President, the rest of the women after November will now assert themselves after seeing this. And guess what, lololol. Most women lean towards church, family values, and are CONSERVATIVE, lololol.

Could NOT have written a better a script myself. Just couldn't do it!!!!!

running around? sounds like you've got your wires crossed, napper. i'm sitting here calmly laughing about your name for palin. "barracuda". wow, i think i will strive my whole life NOT to be called a barracuda.....

read some of the comments of your fellow conservatives. it's not stereotyping when they make racist remarks.

palin gets much more press than she deserves because mccain has put her in a position to possibly be president of the most powerful country on earth. even if she was the most lowly person on earth, being put in that position would gain her exactly this level of scrutiny.

i don't like biden. i don't think he adds to obama's ticket. but thanks for bringing him up to deflect the argument from palin. that's just brilliant, and typically republican.

Of course the great Liberal socialist experiments around the world and in this Country have been great successes.

Problem is Liberals can't learn from experience. They just keep pumping more money into their flawed policies. So who's afraid to change? Yes the world is changing, (thought the libs would have got the message with the collapse of the Soviet Union), change with it.

Yet the liberal social failures here keep getting repeated over and over again.

Clinton as VP under Obama wouldn't last long. Obama would have a terrible accident and die. Add another notch to the Clinton body count.

And you wonder why America is falling behind in education? Could it be the LIBERAL view of the teachers?

http://www.worldnetdaily.com/index.php?fa=...mp;pageId=75426

Students in an English class at Metropolitan State College in Denver have been told to assemble criticisms of GOP vice presidential candidate Gov. Sarah Palin that "undermine" her, and students say they are concerned about the apparent bias.

"This so-called 'assignment' represents indoctrination in its purist form," said Matt Barber, director of Cultural Affairs with Liberty Counsel, whose sister, Janna, is taking the class from Andrew Hallam, a new instructor at the school.

The instructor also, according to students, is harshly critical of President Bush during his classroom English presentations. He reportedly has allowed students who identify themselves as "liberal" to deride and ridicule those who identify themselves as "conservative" or Republican.

"So much for critical thinking. What's happening in that classroom represents a microcosm for what's happening with the angry left around the country," Matt Barber told WND. "The visceral and even abusive reaction Hallam and some of his students are having against Sarah Palin and Republican students in the class is occurring on a much larger scale among left-wing elitists throughout the media, academia and the larger Democratic Party."

and ima keeps telling us how GREAT palin is.

dude, you really sound like you have been waiting your whole life for a strong, fiesty woman to take charge. sounds like you should visit some s&m sites to take care of that.

And it shows you are afraid to death of her. Guess your sister smacked you around to much when you were a kid cause you wanted to steal part of her paycheck cause it WASN'T FAIR, lolol.

Guess you haven't learned anything cause Mcain/Palin is now gonna kick you and the rest of your friends asses back to the sidelines again, for trying to steal everyone elses money.

Hey, you can be scared of her. Why should you be any stronger than Barack or Joe, lolololol.

Gramm(The same one working with McCain!)-Leach-Bliley Act

The Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, also known as the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Financial Services Modernization Act, Pub. L. No. 106-102, 113 Stat. 1338 (November 12, 1999), is an Act of the United States Congress which repealed the Glass-Steagall Act, opening up competition among banks, securities companies and insurance companies. The Glass-Steagall Act prohibited a bank from offering investment, commercial banking, and insurance services.

The bills comprising the act were introduced in the Senate by Phil Gramm (R-TX) and in the House of Representatives by James Leach (R-IA). The bills were passed along party lines with Republican support in the Senate[1] and with bipartisan support in the House of Representatives[2]. It was signed into law by President Bill Clinton.

And the "GREAT MAVERICK, whom nobody seems to question his decision making.

McCain (R-AZ), Yea

Part of an explanation of why we need to just ditch the two parties. Keep playing the blame game while no real changes happen.

Ron Paul, whether you argee with him as a politican 100% or not, spread this video, at least it shows that this was known about and nothing was done about it. Someone cared, someone tried.

One more from the fringe nut job. I can't find the one from 1995 when he said Freddie and Fannie would fail and everyone laughed at him.

http://www.house.gov/paul/congrec/congrec99/cr110899-glb.htm

With the economy more fragile than is popularly recognized, we should move cautiously as we initiate reforms.

Such a scenario would put added pressure on the financial bubble. The growth in money and credit has outpaced both savings and economic growth. These inflationary pressures have been concentrated in asset prices, not consumer price inflation--keeping monetary policy too easy. This increase in asset prices has fueled domestic borrowing and spending.

Government policy and the increase in securitization are largely responsible for this bubble. In addition to loose monetary policies by the Federal Reserve, government-sponsored enterprises Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac have contributed to the problem. The fourfold increases in their balance sheets from 1997 to 1998 boosted new home borrowings to more than $1.5 trillion in 1998, two-thirds of which were refinances which put an extra $15,000 in the pockets of consumers on average--and reduce risk for individual institutions while increasing risk for the system as a whole.

The better alternative is to repeal privacy busting government regulations. The same approach applies to Glass-Steagall and S. 900. Why not just repeal the offending regulation? In the banking committee, I offered an amendment to do just that. My main reasons for voting against this bill are the expansion of the taxpayer liability and the introduction of even more regulations. The entire multi-hundred page S. 900 that reregulates rather than deregulates the financial sector could be replaced with a simple one-page bill.
