fmccap
I'm looking forward to the Vice-Presidental debate myself! In fact, I can't wait to see how many more gaffes, misquotes, and stupid shit Joe Biden says! I'm also waiting, in that kind of environment she should show her lack of intelligence in leaps and bounds.

I am willing to wager a buck that the media proclaims Biden the winner of the debate, but the pols taken of regular Americans says something totally different. It is called biology, and that is something the other 3 candidates and most of the media will overlook.

If Palin does half as poorly as she did in the Couric interview, I'm sure Biden will be declared the winner. Palin didn't answer Couric's questions she just spouted off an unconnected stream of talking points and catch phrases amounting to little more than unintelligible gibberish. I have watched the interview 3 times and she simply makes no sense at all in answer to the questions about the Wall Street Bailout, Teh relevance of Alaska's proximity to Russia to her foreign policy credentials and McCain's deregulation proclivities over the past 23 years. The McCain camp has done everything to lower the expectations to the point where if she doesn't stare into the camera and drool she will have suceeded. It has gotten to the point where even conservatives are calling for her to withdraw for the good of the country.

I mean after all, your words and logic should have been used for Obama long ago, and who listened when everyone said it. He didn't, so why should she? You never know what might come up, lolol. Remember when the libs were in the drivers seat, then it appeared the conservatives were, and now it is back the other way. Surprises are the name of the game it appears. I believe we haven't seen the end of them yet. And the great thing about the whole deal is---------->no matter who gets elected, they won't be able to do much of anything if it is spend money, lolololol. The bailout surely will take care of all of that for 4 years or more. So, I am more inclined to hope Obama gets elected. Inflation will rise more, meaning purchasing power will drop, meaning he can't raise taxes much, won't be able to put into effect many socialists deals, and will be froze in place for most of the Presidency. Oh well, easy come, easy go!!!!
Mark B. Morrow
Last night Olbermann ran the Sarah Palin answer to Couric on the Wall St Bailout side by side with the Tina Fey bit on Saturday Night Live. Fey's part was nearly a word for word match for Palin's interview. The only thing added was the "phone a friend" spoof of Who Wants to be a Millionaire. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3036677/#26949597 If anyone here can make a reasoned argument that Palin's answer was in any way responsive to Couric's question, or even related to the question, I would love to hear it. I think looking at these last two years as an example we should consider moving in a different direction because that no longer seems to work. Dems said they were going to stop Bush and he said he was going to stop them. In the end all We The People recieved was the no vasaline scenario. Bush got what he wanted and the Dems got what they wanted all wrapped up in nice big spending bills that our children will have to pay for. Say what? Are you implying that even though 35% of the white voters at the very least will vote for Obama, while over 90% of the black voters do the same, it somehow means the white people are being racist? Geeze, you would think that a 90% vote for anything by one group or another would be considered.......shall we say........close minded for PC reasons, lolol. And let us not forget that Clarence Thomas is an Afro American, and voted with the court in this matter. I just don't understand how if Obama gets elected it is because he is better, but if he loses, it is due to racism. Let me point out, I personally know of many a white voter who is going to vote for Mr Obama. On the other hand, I only think I know 1 black person (and I do know many black people) who is going to vote for Mcain; and that person would be Mr Nap. And in that case, I am surmising his vote because of his distaste for liberalism. There has never been such a reversal of facts in evidence that the media is trying to put forth, lolol. An Obama defeat is due to racism while a large percentage of that segment of the population will cast their vote for him, but a Mcain defeat has nothing to do with the fact that black America will cast their vote in unity for one of their own. Trust me when I say that I do NOT consider it racism if black America wishes to vote only for Obama, I am just disgusted as everyone should be, that the media or anyone else will put forth the notion that would be the only reason Mr Obama lost. Guess that is what you get in a PC world, and why our children just don't understand what is really going on. We aren't allowed to talk about it in real terms, because it might offend someone. Not in school, not in public, not in mixed company. I guess we are using the old wives tale, that "if we ignore it and don't talk about it, it will just go away." Bush got what he wanted and the Dems got what they wanted all wrapped up in nice big spending bills that our children will have to pay for. That is where you are wrong Mr Cap. You see, they can't devalue the dollar by printing tons more, or the price of oil will rise and put the offending party out on their ear next election. They can't raise taxes much if at all, (and Mr Obama addmitted as much himself) should the economy continue to falter. The only way they can do massive new spending without adverse affects is---------->cut spending on current projects. Liberals will never do that, never. Ok, maybe the Iraq war, but the first time anything goes wrong and the military is needed, it will put them in the soup, and they know it. Liberals say one thing, but know the truth, lolol. Always remember that this mess was created by both partys getting what they wanted for their constituents. While the fickle finger is being pointed at Bush, both these partys took what they wanted in legislation, and here we are because of it. Again---------->the next President is screwed for the forseeable future as far as monetary policy. If you don't believe me, ask some of these other people on here who know about business, and if you don't want to do that, look at what economists are saying. Out of all the money Washington spends, our politicians will be fighting over a very small percentage of it, because the rest is already spent. The amount of money they will fight over, will NOT fund massive projects anymore, so in all reality the government is DONE being able to buy tons of votes. Wait till the liberals figure out all the money is gone, lolol. They will wail, and demand taxes go through the roof to fund their ideas. This is when America will understand what they do for a living, just as they found out what Republicans do this time around. You may yet see an independent elected in your lifetime Mr Cap, and I certainly hope so.
