Lets see Obama is 47, has zero experience (except for the work for Bill Ayers) proposing 800 Billion in new taxes is Obama not McCain. Obama says we can fix our energy problems with a tire gauge and he's backed up by an asshole who's lifetime body of work consists of being the equivalent of a poltical Pit-bull. I'll take the experienced old guy over the one who has a nice speech he gave in 2002. On quality vs. quantity her(Palin's) experience is probably equal to his as far as "running a country" goes. Remember her name isn't on the top of the ticket. Palin is a relative novice. Further checking reveals some true accomplishments, plus the fact that she has been a governor for almost two years. But two years of experience as a governor, versus almost four years as a do-nothing absentee Senator that has spent most of his term promoting HIMSELF in his run up to the presidency. Any criticism of Palin as being 'inexperienced' can be easily countered by noting that Senator is AT LEAST as inexperienced. Both have similar resumes: Palin was a councilwoman, Obama was a community organizer ; Palin was a mayor, Obama was Senator in one of the most corrupt states in the nation; Palin is a governor, Obama is a Senator. At the same time, the McCain camp can respond by noting that, despite Palin's 'inexperience', she is only running as VP. Obama, on the other hand, is the inexperienced one, and he is running for the office of the Commander in Chief.

She looks good.

She's a NRA member

She speaks well

She's a reformer

She seems to have a record of no nonsense

She's pro-life

She killed that bridge-to-nowhere project

She has been in the union and her husband is a card carring union member.

When she was mayor of that little town, she cut her own salary, and cut property taxes 60%.

She also successfully took on the oil industry, leading to a tax increase on oil company profits that now has the state's treasury swelling.

But the UAW is SPENDING MY MONEY backing Obama, money NOT well spent.

I also heard she is commander and chief of the national gaurd

You're delisional.

Seriously, both sides are saying this will benefit them. It's just posturing. I love it when conservitives start chest thumping. You guys may have the biggest mouth in the room, but a well placed fist will close it. Remember, this election isn't over until November 5th.

This is an exciting time to be an American. We are witnessing history on both sides. On the democratic side, we have our first black presidential nominee. On the republican side, they finally realized that there are other politicians besides white men!

Regardless of whom you support, just make sure you vote for the right reasons.

I'm delisional, and I'm chest thumping. Have you heard Obama, the man thanks he is a god!

your right about voting for the right reason. Just because the union said so, is not good enough. Use your mind, learn the issues and if you don't stay home. I don't want the future of our country decided by "he told me to vote for him/her".

She was elected in a state where the ratio of men to women is about 45:1. Look at her, if you were looking at Joe Bob everyday and the sun only shined 3 hrs out of the day, wouldn't you like to look at something nice. She was elected mayor in a town of 9000. My subdivision has more people than that in it. she has never been against or took on the oil industry. She is all for the oil company's and offshore drilling for them. Where have you been reading!! That was the dumbest move Mcain has made. This proves he is just as stupid as Bush. I wonder if she knows how many houses she owns? :finger:

Why bag on the "rich"? Nobody forced you into being a factory rat. Btw I am invested in oil and its treated me quite well. You socialists act like wealthy people "owe" us something, give me a fucking break. Do the "rich" have a money tree in the backyard? Most of them are educated and have to work hard to make all that money. Taxes create jobs? Only road work jobs and puts me closer to the poor house. If you want to donate your money to enititlements go right ahead, I'd rather save my money and educate my kids so they can be "rich" people. It does sound like you are doing great under Bush. Don't worry about me being broke, I'm a reponsible adult who knows how to save money for a rainy day unlike most of the morons who work with me who spend every dime they make.

So I should be president because I served in the Navy and the Army? Just because you serve, doesn't mean you're presidential material. I applaud him for his service, but he was a half rate officer who got out because he knew he would never make Flag Rank like his father and grandfather.

Anyway, Obama is a millionaire because he made it himself. It was not passed down to him like the Bushs and Kennedys, and he did not marry into it like Kerry and McCain.

And yes, I would consider being a two term senator, two term first lady more qualified than a one term governor from the least populous state in the nation.

The Repulican are campaigning with fear, the Democrats are campaigning with hope. Personally, as a father, I prefer hope. Most republicans I have spoken with have not given me a reason for voting for McCain, but they have plenty of reasons to not vote for Obama. Try being open minded about it, then come back and give me a valid reason to vote for McCain. He's had 20 plus years to make a difference, yet has done nothing.

I'll take intelligence and motivation, Obama, over flag waiving and complacency, McCain.

Fear $850 billion in more govt. spending Obama wants!! Raising everyone's taxes!! Ford workers are Rich so ours will go up!! He wants to TAX our BENEFITS, so our insur. and pension that Ford pays will be taxed to us at 25% so we will all pay AT LEAST $5,000 more in fed. tax on income we dont see on our checks. Taxing our BS carbon tax will destroy the big 3. And by not drilling we will pay more for gas which Obama says should be at least $5 a gallon but raising it a little at a time is prefered.

NAME 1 JUST 1 BILL OBAMA SPONSORED and PASSED!! JUST 1!! HE HAS NONE AS IN 0.

Palin's been in public office since 1988 Obama since 1998. So even the VP has MORE EXPERIENCE then he does. And dont pull this foreign BS stuff because a;; GOV.'s get briefed when they run just like BILL CLINTON did in 1992. No pres. has been elected from the senate since JFK and all have had more then 18 months of experience.

And its kind of hard to move up in rank WHEN YOUR A POW for 7 YEARS, remember that!!

So you're OK with overpriced gas, foreclosed houses, this state bleeding jobs? Unless you're in that top 1%, that money for the rainy day won't last.

Look, it's not about taking from the rich and giving to the poor, it's about not letting the rich take from the middle class. That's not capitalism, that's fiscal raping. The thing that's screwed up is that it's the necessities that are killing us: gasoline, utilities, insurance, mortgages, etc. I don't know about the rest of you, but my disposable income has gone way done. The price of gas alone is hitting my house for about an additionl $400 a month from 3 years ago.

Unfortunately, a little socialism would do this country some good.

Yeah the democrats are really looking out for people like us. Take our hard earned money and give it to people who don't want to work. They are all about entitlements. You and I are alot closer to being considered "rich"(according to the demonrats) than we are to being welfare scumbags.
Fact: Spending for corporate welfare programs outweighs spending for low-income programs by more than three to one: $167 billion to $51.7 billion (source: Aid for Dependent Corporations, from the Corporate Welfare Project and How Much Do We Spend on Welfare?, from the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, FY 95 figures)

Fact: Total federal spending on a safety net for the poor costs the average taxpayer about $400 a year, while spending on corporate welfare programs costs the same taxpayer about $1400 a year. (source: CBO figures)

You vote Republican because the Dems give money away to people who do not earn it?ANY union person who votes republican needs to check the facts. Are Dems perfect? NO,but if we continue on the same course as the last 8 years you will not have to concern yourself with labor issues, all of the remaining unions will be gone.So keep voting for the republicans and turn the United States into a third world nation of rich and poor and no middle class. If McCain gets in and continues these wars and starts new ones why don't you republican patriots sign up and do what you are so willing to send someone else to do?

C'mon Al- If you need disposable income get a second job. Americans need to start taking care of themselves instead of expecting the gov't to do it for them. Alot of our economic woes are from people being stupid. Mortgaging their houses to the hilt with arms and then when the rates go up they figure out they can't afford the house that they could barely afford with a low adjustable rate. They buy big f'n trucks then cry when gas goes up. How many people at Romeo have way overextended themselves living off the overtime of the past? Is that our problem?. No it isn't. It sucks but they have no one to blame but themselves. People need to learn how to live off 40 hours and put some money away for hard times. Its called being a responsible adult, a trait which is thoroughly lacking in the automotive industry. Fiscal raping? Thats what the f'n democrats are going to do to us with thier higher taxes for thier "programs" which we will never qualify for.

Most of them are educated and have to work hard?Just what planet are you on?Most of the rich inherit their wealth.THAT IS A FACT!People work hard everday of their lives and never become rich.So spare us the speeches on how intelligent and hard working the rich are.The facts are this. All productivity

gains since the 1970' have went straight to the top with no benefits to the workers who produced them.Hard working and intelligent, you mean like George Bush? :hysterical:

If someone over 21 is still working for min wage they have much bigger problems than who is running for president. The rich inherit? Give me a break. There isn't that much "old money" around. Again you made the choice to be an hourly autoworker just like I did so quit bitching about people who decided to do something with thier life. I made my choices just like you and now we have to live with them. Get a second job, go to school, just take personal reponsibility. You think the rich are overpaid? You better look into the mirror and see what you do daily for your 50-60K per year. Shit a monkey could do our work.

Today is not the day to worry about Obama Vs McCain. We have a battle at hand today that must not be overshadowed by the presidential race. We will have the next 66 days to worry about the next Commander in Chief. Today we shall all ban together and shout one thing. Yes that one thing is M-I-Z-Z-O-U. We must beat those pesky Fighting Illini tonight if we want any chance at the #1 spot in the BCS. Go Tigers!!!!!!!!!

Tomorrow I will be a Democrat once again.

The problem is that we are paying for other peoples mistakes. The state, counties and citys are considering raising taxes because property values are down, therefore they loose revinue. Either way we pay. And we do make more than enough money on 40 hours to have disposable income, but the cost of necessities have skyrocketed.

I'm not talking about bailing people out, I'm talking about making sure people who did what was right don't get sucked in. I'm sick and tired of everyone saying democrats are all about big government while the republicans spend $10 BILLION a month on a war that we shouldn't be in.

Also, it was the republicans who started taxing benefits. Bush senior wanted to tax our medical and under Jr. we started paying taxes on legal and tuition.

Look, neither side is perfect and I don't think Obama is the second coming, but I do know that he is not a supporter of the current administration that has done nothing but drag us down. That is the main reason I am voting for him, he is not a Bush supporter. I do like what he stands for and what he proposes: Lowering taxes for the middle class and eliminatin loopholes for the rich. Making medical and college more affordable. Getting our troops out of Iraq and into Afganistan, where the real war is. Reducing/eliminating our dependence on foriegn oil. Do you disagree with any of that.

McCain voted down MLK as a holiday. McCain voted down equal pay for equal work. McCain voted down the new GI bill. McCain voted in support of Bush 90% of the time, yet he is considered a maverick?

Just admit it, if you like Bush, you've voting for McCain. If you don't like Bush, but are voting for McCain, odds are because you don't want a black man for president.

Don't point out Obama's lack of experience unless you can show me what McCain has done in office and what his platform is now.
