When I hired in 30 years ago auto jobs were like hitting the lotto. Great Benifits, great money, great quality of life. Trucks back then were prices at 30k plus if that high. Fast forward 30 years of giving up Benifits and pay, trucks are now around 90k (superduty) and our quality of living is worse than all those years ago. It’s time! A strike is bad for all involved and I 100% hope it doesn’t happen. I think this new President has got the newbies hyped up on expectations and there going to be disappointed. All that said, good luck everybody.

Everybody knows theses plants take a little time to start up and get running full speed again. The body and paint shops are notorious for slow start ups.

So is ford close to a new contract? I read when thing 1st started for had 11-20 items settled.

I also read where GM offered to go back to original healthcare arrangements right before midnight deadline. Union said if they(Gm) offered that earlier they could have avoided a strike. It sounded to me the way I read it that they were close to being in agreement

If there’s that much extra money floating around I think we’re paying way too much in union dues!

I bet the train station remodeling will be about 1.5 billion. Hope the negotiators don’t forget about that.

If signing bonus is all we get it needs to be significantly higher than 18,500. Let’s say 30,000
