  1. Just like any place that has to sell you to live there, apartment complexes will need to start offering charging stations or people will move to where it is more convenient for them. Just like covered parking, green spaces, and granite counters. Apartments have to constantly update with the times if they don't want their tenants moving elsewhere that offer the amenities they want. The better amenities, the easier the sale and fewer vacancies. Will it happen immediately? No, but as soon as a couple of apartment complexes offer it in a town, the rest will need to follow suit. Competition for the clients will demand it.
  2. If power is what they are interested in, they'll get it from electric.
  3. This gives me hope that the US version won't have the fangs.
  4. Yup, you can see the traditional bumpers on the leaked photo and the different fender transitions because of it. The current Ranger has similar changes as well to fit a standard bumper for the NA market. Gotta say, I'm not loving the "fangs" on the front of the truck on either of the versions. I'm wondering if the leaked gray photo is an early clay model because the side sculpting looks different on the doors as well as the hood cutline (vs the ROW production version). I don't think Ford would change that from market to market, but who knows? (I actually prefer the hood cutline on the ROW production version)
  5. That reminds me of the shifter that Jeep had to remove because it was causing roll aways. (Not saying they behave the same, but having the PRNDL on top leads me to believe this may not have traditional detents, but may bounce back to its default position after putting in gear like the Jeep did)
  6. Looks nice and a good evolution of the current truck (which, as an owner, I think looks quite handsome and understated). Interesting to see how they will revise the front of the truck for the NA market since you can assume they will forgo the integrated fascia and go with a bumper much like the current generation. The interior (as little as I can see) looks ok, I expected a bit more design to match the exterior, but seems fine. Nothing I see would make me want to trade in my Ranger, but I can see this opening up the market to more people than the current truck does. Good job Ford!
  7. Older people may like the Maverick because frankly the Ranger and F-150 are somewhat too hard to get in for the mobility impaired. The Mav you can just slide into whereas the other two trucks you have to climb into. They can once again have a truck as a first vehicle if they want.
  8. Which one costs more? ? Lincoln even calls the Navigator their flagship. https://media.lincoln.com/content/lincolnmedia/lna/us/en/news/2021/08/18/new-lincoln-navigator-commands-the-road.html
  9. Reveal is Nov 24th. Just a few weeks away! https://www.motorauthority.com/news/1130933_2023-ford-ranger-teased-ahead-of-nov-24-debut
  10. That is the spiritual successor to the old Land Rover 110. Very nice. With the continued interest in overlanding, I could see a market for this.

    Towing RV

I towed a 1978 Pontiac Trans Am on a U-Haul car trailer from MI to CT a couple of weekends ago. Had no issues going up and down the pretty decently sized hills in PA on I-80. I was never lacking for power and it shifted fine with Tow mode on. I just had the cruise set at 71 and it stayed at that and didn't complain. UHaul trailer weighed 2,210 lbs and the car weighs around 3,600 lbs.
  12. I picked the car up from my brother who lives in Commerce Township. I used to live in Northville / Farmington Hills / Novi back in the 90's and I had not been back since then. Holy crap, I could not get my bearings because everything is so DIFFERENT and built up. I had lived in the area for a good decade.... but during this visit I still had to use my navigation to get anywhere because I didn't recognize anything. Next time I'm out that way, I'll let you know and we can grab a beer or something.
  13. Only one foot less in length (but a whole lot shorter in height!) ?
  14. Yeah, the Ranger has the same IP, 2 standard gauges with a center screen for XLT and below, One standard gauge, and 2 side screens on the sides for the Lariat. That IP has been around for what seems like forever and it was pretty dated years ago too when the Ranger first came out here in the US.

  16. Where's the off-road part of this off-road comparison? ? Cool video regardless!
  17. But at least I brought it home with my Ford! ? I just got home from towing this mid-life crisis from Michigan to Connecticut with my 2019 Ranger. I had the cruise control at 71 the majority of the time and it never faltered, never lost speed and I had the AC on a lot of the time ( and there are some big honking hills on I-80 in PA). This truck never ceases to amaze me.
  18. I like the updates, but I don't think Ford has yet to nail a cohesive-looking front end on the latest gen Expy.
  19. To calm the waters a bit, here are some pics Mike Levine posted of a Maverick next to a last-gen Ranger.
  20. Well, we know at least the next-gen Raptor will get coils. Not sure if it is all Rangers though. https://fordauthority.com/2021/02/2023-ford-ranger-raptor-rear-coil-spring-suspension-confirmed/
  21. I just watched it, from the video: New frontend styling which keeps the same basic shapes New Silverado ZR2 offroad model Completely new interior (actually looks nice) 13.9" center screen and 12" instrument cluster Super Cruise hands-free driver assist (and will work with trailering) OTA updates Engine updates w/ 2.7L turbo
