I understand where you are coming from, however, a counterpoint from someone currently waiting for a Mustang GT to be built is that part of the custom ordering in the age of the internet should be to be more involved in the process. If I could go in and watch I would take time off from work and go the day/s that it will be assembled on. But since that is not possible We are only left with knowing the dates. That being said I agree with you completely that the forum should be for more than tracking.

I used to like the company, Elon's personality issues. The constant overpromising while underdelivering and not knowing whether the company will still exist in 5 years have made me rethink owning a tesla in the near future.

Will soon own my first Ford vehicle (Mustang GT). My family says they are not reliable, I'm hoping I can prove them wrong.

There's a very thin band there to fit it in. I'm not sure what kind of customer would drop almost GT money and not get a GT. People getting Ecoboost are either doing so for price and/or better mileage, neither will be improved in the "Entry level High Performance". People buying GTs are not going to buy anything else than a GT. That only leaves people that want to buy GTs but can't afford it, will the $2-3k difference enough to make they give up on their dream car and settle for an "entry Level High Performance"? I don't think so but time will tell.

I have no horse in this race but mustang > chimera It was funny tho.

I'm with you there hoping it does not disappear, but just in case I'm getting on that V8 train before it leaves for good.

Damn, I have a Mustang GT waiting for production. It's 53 days away. I hoped it would move up after production, but this thread has crushed my soul.

Congrats on the new car! I'm waiting for a new Mustang GT, will be my first Ford vehicle, I hope I have the same experience as you.
