    Thanks for the info but I already have the brand new shifter assembly and I can't seem to be able to remove the plastic trim around the shifter to get to the bolts. The edge is a little different based on what I'm seeing on youtube.

    Hello all, I couldn't find a topic search box so here goes. I have the dreaded shifter not recognizing it is in park and clicking until it registers. I bought a brand new shift assembly and I tried to remove the existing one and can't figure out the trick to remove the bezel. I afraid to pull on it and break it. Any help and guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank!
