  1. 2018 reserve, same issue. Took my dealer a week to get a replacement. Service manager said they have several on order. Sensors did continue to work.
  2. If there is any possibility you will tow with your Navigator, you should absolutely get the tow package. One feature not mentioned yet is sway control. This does not eliminate trailer sway, but can be an early warning of a very dangerous situation, giving you the opportunity to correct the situation before disaster. In addition to the items mentioned above, without the package, you may find you will have to acquire several items that are included. This might be one or more fuses to activate circuits needed for proper towing. I started a thread a few months ago to get input on weight distribution hitches, something the manual requires for trailers over 6000 lbs. Since my previous vehicles didn't need it, I had no experience with this type of hitch. I can assure you if your tongue weight nears 600lbs or more you need the weight distribution hitch. My tow package is toward the upper limit of the reserve Navigator. With the weight distribution properly adjusted it tows beautifully, I couldn't be happier. Cheers
  3. Maybe not, I ordered a reserve with the pass thru. Do you have an expected delivery date? Mine was revised to Sep 5.
  4. Shes being held hostage, I think. One more update, please. Navigator: 5LMJJ2LT0JEL16711 Cheers
  5. So, no one has a hint of fleet problems with 2018 Navigators? There seems to be at least two, being tracked on this forum, that have had the delivery process stopped after completing the rail portion.
  6. There is a great deal more that I dont't know, than I do know about building and delivering a vehicle to its end user. However, what seems very unusual to me is that its more cost effective and efficient to address a "minor" issue between train and truck, in the middle of the delivery. If something needing attention is discovered after the product leaves the plant, wouldn't a dealership be the next most logical place to deal with it?
  7. I was told today that there is a "manufacturers hold on Navigator deliveries." There is some "minor issue" that needs to be fixed before delivery. OK, great, I want the vehicle to be as good as possible before I get it but: this vehicle was ordered in March, built on July 27, left Louisville by rail on August 6, delivered to Jacksonville and consigned to a trucking company on August 10 and now it will sit in a railyard 160 miles away for a month, for a minor issue. Can anyone give some insight into what is going on. The way it came across from my salesman it sounded like a fleet wide problem.
  8. Airstreamer, I wish I knew. I was wrong--mine is still not here. Dealer said it was consigned from the rail carrier to a trucking company 10 days ago. Only 160 miles away. I'm confident my dealer is doing what he can, but I can't remember ever being this frustrated, for this length of time.
  9. She's not home yet. One more update please. Navigator: 5LMJJ2LT0JEL16711 Thanks
  10. Pretty sure its at the dealers now. I'm out of town till Monday, oh well. The most accurate info for me was from cyberdman, on the VEHICLE LOCATOR BY FORD EMPLOYEE forum. Just read cyberdman's rules thread carefully. Good Luck.
  11. Update please, for my Navigator. VIN: 5LMJJ2LT0JEL16711 Hope to see her moving towards her new home, thanks.
  12. Thanks, tobe. Already leaning hard in that direction. Looks like my vehicle came off the assembly line last Friday. Looking forward to putting the first 1000 miles on her so I can hook her up to the boat.
  13. Scheduled build day has passed. May I have an update on my Navigator special order, please? VIN: 5LMJJ2LT0JEL16711 Thanks
  14. I have owned 4 F-150s in the last 20+ years. Never had anything but good service with OEM tires, especially with respect to service life. One difference, this time, is that Hankook is unknown to me. Previous vehicles were all equipped with tires made by companies I know. A side effect of ordering a vehicle in March and waiting until this week to get a build date is to much time to think, maybe overthink, things. I have test driven a Navigator and didn't get any sense of problems with the tires. After reading through various forums and topics here I have enjoyed the opinions and insights of some seemingly knowledgeable posters. Just thought I'd throw the topic out there and see where the conversation went. If Hankook is as good as it gets I'm happy with that.
  15. I have a Navigator coming in August, search did not turn up a current discussion of the performance of Hankook tires. Looking for experience/opinions on whether swapping out the Hankooks for another brand would improve performance, quality of ride, etc.
