  1. You can link the bluetooth from the rear displays to the front stereo and play the movies or whatever through the truck soundsystem (via bluetooth) Once linked when you get in the truck every time your phone will be the default so you need to select it again. Other than that not much control from the front. You can download the lincoln app and get a little control (turn on and off and something else I forget) but its not great. We added a firestick to the HDMI input and use that for the kids when going on road trips. I would bet any aftermarket one would work as well (or better) for less money but not look as integrated as the factory ones do. Although they still look bolted on as well. With the firestick we can control from the front as the remote is not IR. Still need to have the kids tell us whats on screen or I can move the driver seat way up (I'm really skinny) and my wife moves her seat back and she can see and control it to set it up while driving. It's not great I wish it could mirror on the front and let the passenger control it but no deal.
  2. It pretty much did it since day 1 and it didn't seem to get any worse or any better over the time I had it. Since I don't drive in excite or 4x4 much it wasn't urgent, but I figured since it was going in already for a few other things might as well have them check it out before something worse happens. I am curious to what was causing it, I have felt teeth missing before on old trucks and it wasn't anything like that.
  3. So I got the recall letter for an inspection on the middle row middle seat. Something about some bracket may not have been installed making it fly out of the car if it is in an accident. Yada Yada Yada don't let anyone sit in the seat unless its in the far back position unless it's your father-in-law. I waited until my 1 year service (was at just over 8,900 miles) Also while it went in I had them check out an issue I have had. When I put it in Excite I noticed a chug while accelerating. It felt like an engine misfiring, it was like a pulsing but it felt electronic. At first I thought it was maybe a program issue but then I realized it happened in Normal 4x4 mode as well. As soon as I put it back to normal 2H or conserve it was smooth. So I took the tech for a drive and he felt it as well. I kept saying it feels like a misfire (he agreed) but that doesn't make sense that it only happens in the AWD modes. Which would lead me to believe it's the transfer case or maybe even something in the front driveline or maybe something in the transfer case is sending some signal back and messing up the engine program. Either way it didn't feel mechanical (like a missing a tooth on a gear or slipping or something) We went back he told the service manager the same thing that it felt like a misfire but only in AWD modes. They had my truck for a few days and Lincoln Corp got back with "Replace the transfer case" so around $1800 later (all under warranty of course) got the truck back and it works good as new. I asked the Service manager if they took the transfer case apart to see what was actually wrong but they didn't. Lincoln wanted it back right away. He did say it took them 2 days to respond to replace it and that it must of hurt their pride a little but that also for them to say replace the whole transfer case without anymore tests he said they must have seen this issue before. Hopefully not too widespread but if you have a 4x4 model check the awd modes on a nice smooth road.
  4. Yes I got my waze working (and google maps) with Carplay. It for sure works way better than the Sync 3 way (unless that works better now too I haven't tried it) Also my sirus radio subscription ended and I am too cheap to add another. I have a few lifetime subs from back in the day so my phone app has Free Sirius for life so I just use the app through carplay as well. Also still have my old Slacker l/p from our old tesla so have free access to that through carplay as well Only thing I can't do in carplay is control the back monitors. For that need to turn off carplay then open the lincoln play app through the sync 3 setup. Hopefully soon Lincoln Play will work on Carplay too. Oh well can't have everything I guess....
  5. Yea mine was better after an update but still not as fast as the phone is. I was hoping the Carplay support would help. I tried to load waze and no deal but I imagine it is because the app itself has not yet been updated. I got a ton of other apps updated but nothing for waze yet. Probably will come soon and I will try it again.
  6. For anyone with iPhone I just saw the new IOS 12 update is supposed to make waze compatible with carplay. Hopefully it makes it better than it is on Sync 3 setup. I'm running the update now I'll post results soon.
  7. Mine has done the side mirror thing maybe 5 or 6 times so far (passenger side mirror only) It could be our car wash guy while cleaning it moved it and it had to reset. If not there is another issue with it. I took a video to give the dealer when I take it in for it's first service. Also I notice a slight chug if put in a AWD mode (excite or 4x4) if I am light on the gas and drive very easy you can feel the truck pulsing or surging. It is very slight and if the road is a little bumpy or rough it hides it completely. It goes away if I put it in 2wd Normal. It almost feels like the engine is misfiring. That is what the pulsing feels like but not sure why it would only happen in the 4wd modes. Could be due to a program change or something in the driveline. Either way it's under warranty and I will bring that up on its service as well. It doesn't seem to be getting worse or any better.
  8. You know you can't just post this vague message and leave it like this right? What is this evil car you speak of?
  9. I got a bench for mine the middle row can still use the heater and radio controls on the back of the front console. I wanted a big vehicle for moving passengers and dogs and the middle row center console would get in the way. But to each their own. Our tesla model X has the passthrough and we like that it gives more space and legroom to those in the back 3rd row, but the Navigator is much bigger so we didn't want the extra open space.
  10. Just run the line in the headliner over the the A pillar and down the side into the passenger side fuse box. I wired my radar that way and you can't see any wires. You will need the 12v to 5v adapter of course. Really easy to run them
  11. Yea you need to go into the rear screen setup for the audio and pick Bluetooth. Then go to the front screen and goto bluetooth settings and add the lincoln. If your phone is paired you need to reselect the rear screen every time as your phone will be the default. Then goto sources and pick it. Sorry I dont have the exact directions but that should get you there. If you still can't figure it out let me know and I will get the exact directions.
  12. hehe it's ok I did it once after I had already used it a few times. I was like I swear I turned it on before, where is that damn button....
  13. Front dash button right above the hazard flasher. It only works going slow at 5mph for sure I forget when it cuts off though.
  14. Yea mine works from a good distance away too. Maybe try reprogramming it again.
  15. I agree with most of your list Dave. Overall still a great truck though
