Crown Victoria Unlocks But Won't Lock

I have a 2004 Crown Vic (oh will I miss this car when it is gone). Everything works EXCEPT the driver door lock. It will unlock (switch or remote), but won't lock. I have replaced the solenoid, but it exhibits the same problem. Ideas, anyone? Mike former body man Sanderson Ford Glendale, AZ
