I am not sure what options were selected, but I compared the vehicles similarly equipped with the features that I am looking for and the expedition Max comes out considerably more on MSRP. I can also get a fully optioned suburban premier 2WD for $65k right now (in white/tan) and unfortunately it does not appear that an expedition will be avialable within $5-10k. I have waited for the Expedition release for a year now and am just disappointed that Ford is not pricing competitvely in this market. It is also really close to Navigator/Escalade territory which is another consideration for me. I was really expecting to get either the Expy or Navi, but I really thought they would still be the value proposition relative to the GM's.

Compared to the GM's, they have more features, but are also well in excess pricewise. You can also get ~$7k in incentives on the GM before negotiating with the dealers. That is not really that competitive for me. I have been waiting a year for the Expedition/Navigator release and the big jump in pricing is really offputting. The Expedition MAX Platinum starts at $75k. The Suburban Premier starts at $66k. You can find the Cadillac Escalade ESV Premium Luxury for $75k.

The car market seems to have softened and the Escalades have anywhere from $7k-$9.5K in rebates right now on top of whatever you can negotiate off MSRP with the dealer. Pretty easy to find $12k-16k off the 2017's. I really like the Navigator and have been holding off purchasing a new SUV waiting for it's release for over a year now, but the new pricing is difficult to swallow. I can get an Escalade ESV Luxury for $75k right now while the MSRP for the comparably equipped Navigator L Select is $86,560. The $11k difference is a deal breaker for me, but I assume after the first wave of purchases, Lincoln will have to put out some incentives and dealers will come off MSRP. I just don't know how much longer I will have to wait.

Considering the market and the rebates/discounts on the GM's, how long after these show up on lots do people expect to see rebates/discounts to make the prices more competitive?

I am assuming these will be close to MSRP when they first hit dealerships. Considering the current overall market, how long do you all think before we would start to see some kind of price break like the Escalades?

So the extended version doesn't get the premiere package for some reason. Also the Select L jumped $15k and loses the cooled front seats, really? Give me the 20" wheels and the cooled seats the '17 package came with. I don't think the new pricing is going to be well received especially since GM has about $7k off MSRP on all the escalades on top of what you negotiate with the dealer and they seem to have a lower MSRP.
