  1. Well it seems as Ford has throw another curveball about the receiver hitch size....guess you just order up and see what arrives. Hence the differences in the Order Guide, the Towing Guide, and the actual truck. ??? https://www.fleet.ford.com/content/dam/aem_fleet/en_us/fleet/towing-guides/2023_Ford_RVandTrailerTowingGuide_Nov22.pdf
  2. That was sort of solved with the receiver hitch sleeves that would come with the trucks. I know my 2015 has a 2.5" receiver and the 2" sleeve. Ford did the same with the 3" receivers, if I recall those have a 2.5" and 2" sleeve. It's not good for people moving from the 2017+ trucks that have a 3" hitch. ??
  3. Since the order guide has popped up now I wanted to address my previous comments about the video. Ford has changed their "offerings" once again for standard equipment on these trucks. At this point in time the F250/F350 SRW trucks offer only a 2.5" standard receiver hitch, while the F350/F450 DRW trucks will get the 3" standard receiver hitch. So if you own a current F350/F250 SRW with a 3" receiver hitch and you want a newer 2023+.........you now need another hitch to work on your new truck. How nice!! With that MAYBE the Job 2 trucks will get the 3" receiver, or maybe Ford will flip/flop again on newer model years. We know Ford will update the Order Guides as well so maybe it will change for the 2023 trucks.
  4. I'd say the online program isn't set up correctly. I for one have noticed that some trim level seats are more comfortable than other trims. At the KR and above you are really only paying for interior changes. For a little extra $$$ sometimes a KR trim is more appealing than a Lariat. I can say for the F350 SRW options I selected I'm over $93k in a Lariat, $95k in a KR, $97 in a Platinum.
  5. There are some fuel stations that have a diesel flavor that the pump sticker shows a higher cetane rating. Now it might be more of a "marketing tool" to have a sign that says "Premium Diesel". Is that a higher cetane rating or some sort of "better" formula....I'm not a Petro engineer so....
  6. The corner steps are just "bolt on" Ford accessories. The "retractable side steps"....well with the built in bed steps on offered I'd need to see the brochures or what they are really doing. Either way both of what you have listed are found on the Ford Accessories section of the Order Guide. So that tells me they are offered thru Ford and could be bought at any time.
  7. My 2015 SD with seat covers can show you they are working. I was more concerned that the seats were not connected to the Climate Control ducting. For the current trucks: Might just be the way they rigged the motors or fans. Someone got a 3D printer?? Just turn the blades the other way.
  8. PLEASE....leave the console alone. We really don't want a console shifter on the Super Duty trucks. IF I had to loose the column shifter I'll take a dash knob over a console shifter. God knows I don't want either one of those two anyway.
  9. Last I knew about the A/X/Z/D plans they ARE locked in prices. Ford dealers accepting the order (vehicle purchase) under those plans already agree to the pricing. IF a dealer doesn't want to sell under the A/X/Z/D plan pricing they don't have to. Any other "price protection" agreement is purely at the discretion of the dealer. The best thing is to get on an X-plan PIN (or whatever plan) find a dealer that will honor the Ford Plans, build out your truck, and wait till it comes in. I've done it plenty of times.
  10. The Order Guides are always out there, and have been for quite awhile now easily since 2006. If not even earlier than that time frame. Last I saw the 2023 Order Banks were 17 OCT. Thank you @ice-capades
  11. Anyone seen or heard about the expected release date?? Seems odd the "order books" should be open, yet no order guide. Guess they have pushed back the order openings??
  12. Ford changed the fuel tank fill long ago to accept the larger fast fill diesel nozzles found at some diesel pumps. Regardless of the tank size or bed length you should find any fuel nozzle will fit. Some fuel stops I have found the nozzle is almost too big, but they do fit. Just be careful not to go full blast with the fuel fill speed.
  13. Ford changed to the 2.5" hitch LONG ago....at least back to 2015 models (that's what I have). That's an F350 truck which would drive it to the 3" receiver, UNLESS the options selected downgraded the tow capacity, which drives a 2.5" hitch. Since it's a Limited Trim the only selection to downgrade to a 2.5" would be the GWVR selection....BUT looking at the rear leaf springs there's the overload spring so most likely it's not GVWR restricted. I can't wait to read thru the specifications once they are published.
  14. I'd suggest you pick one way to charge the batteries and stick with that solution.
  15. 30A is an output limit. Your batteries would "need" 30A to see 30A at the plug. So if your system was just topping off the trailer batteries there could be 1A at the plug. Follow what I'm getting at??
  16. I'm pretty sure that's the same Limited trim truck Ford used in their media pics. Azure Grey is the listed color per the Ford media site.
  17. F350 trucks all come with a 3" hitch (depending on options selected). Not to mention he says "they updated the hitches". That was done LONG ago...not new even to the Alumi-Duty models. F150 "thoughts" while covering Super Duty?? I mean these YouTube stars are supposed to be knowledgable. It's not rocket science...study the material before you talk like you are the experts.
  18. Hey we all love "just a little more" in capability right?? I'm amazed at the weights these modern vehicles can easily manage.
  19. I did see a random tid bit of info that stated the Oil Change Interval (OCI) was going to be extended as well. Interesting to see if that's across all versions of the 6.7L motors.
  20. Well...they do a somewhat good job. When they can't review the products improvements or updates from year to year they tend to look like a bunch of hacks. 1:33....It's always been CREW CAB...Never been called a Super Crew.. 2:33...Updated the hitches...."I believe it's a 2.5" hitch.." I know the 2.5" hitch has been around since at least 2015..... Anyway....I'll just golf clap.
  21. Under the Driver's seat....it's the single best non-firearm related device one could use for self-defense.
  22. Rack limiters??? That's purely made up BS. Not sure who's selling you something but walk away now.
  23. Well I'd say that's normal as you have locked the axle side-to-side with the wheels.
  24. What are you wanting to know?? No HP/TQ numbers have been released yet.
